Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: 2 row German pale malt; Czech Saaz, German Northern Brewer hops.
Heaps o’ hops are hiding under the full, frothy head of this elegant Pils. All German malt subtleties linger beneath a long dry finish of this classy quencher.

Re-rate: Still a good beer, but not quite deserving of the 4.1 I gave it before. 10/31/02: Best pilsner I’ve ever had. At first I thought it was not even really a pilsner. However, the qualities of a pils come through, despite the immense amount of hops. The hoppiest, tastiest example of a pils ever. Well done.

From the bottle, it pours straw colored with a thin white head. Aromas come off as wheaty and field of grains like. The flavor is a little wheaty and sweet but still with some complexities, a little woody and balancing with hop bitterness. I’m not a pilsner person, but if more tasted like this i might become more of one.

crystal clear bright golden pour. aroma of bready malt, and some slightly skunky hops. Flavour is sharp, and the hops add a slight soapiness, along with a touch of sour apple. and it finishes with a bready malty aftertaste. Interesting pils, maybe a little past its date, but still nice, but not my favorite, i think its a little over hyped.

Pours a light golden color with a white fading head. Smells of bitter roses with a slight hint of citrus. Taste is an excellent floral bitter citrus. Not a big fan of pilsners, but this one holds up very well.

Bottle, from Julio’s. Enjoy by sep 03 05. Good nose, sweet and sour. Sourdough, little lemon, grass, Classic clean yellow/gold color. Good fluffy white head that faded quickly. Bitter flavors, lemon/grapefruit, a little tinny, some skunk, toasted grains. Thin body, lite creamy mouthfeel, bitter dry finish, nice spice on the finish. I like it, I’ve had APA’s that don’t have this much flavor

Bottle, best by Aug 04 08. Aroma lemony with solid malt background, herbal hops. Lots of the hops in the flavor, herbal, grassy, almost spicy, with that strong malt base holding strong. Dried apple, apple skin, almost leathery. Full bodied. Very nice.

12 oz bottle from Grapevine in Fort Mill, SC. Poured into a pilsener glass a somewhat hazy gold color with a two finger white head. Lacing was minimal. Aroma was floral...very appealing. Flavor was bready with a generous bitter hop bite on the end. Body was rather light, with medium-high carbonation. I agree with some of the previous reviewers that this beer probably isn’t representative of the style. I am rating this beer in a general case. I would classify more as some kind of Pale. Great beer though.

Bright yellow/gold. Modest, frothy, white head. Flavor and aroma of crisp, grainy malt and grassy hops. Dry finish. Light, well carbonated palate. Excellent pilener.
