It goes slightly beyond the blandness most American pilsners bring. But then again, this is Victory. So they can pull it off. wunderbier (1271), Tampere, Finland
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 16, 2004 12 oz bottle, pils flute. Light bread, toasted grain malt (M); flowery, grassy hops (M). Straightforward pils aroma (read tasty). Blossoming, creamy, frothy, tall, white head is slowly diminishing and sits on a deep golden-orange body. Lightly sweet, lightly bitter flavor becomes a moderately bitter finish. Medium-light body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. The bottom line is: so this is what a fresh pils tastes like! heykevin (1269), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 5, 2002 This is everything I want in a pilsener, golden color, spicy hop aroma, robust bitterness and good finish. Makes me pine for the time I’ve spent in the Czech Republic, beers in the store for 10-15 cents a bottle and 50 cents in the bar. Oh well, I’d fork out the cash for this beer any day. Pity it isn’t distruibuted in Iowa. MI2CA (1266), Noblesville, Indiana, USA

Hops, but not the floral ipa kind. A nice malty back. Pours a transparent yellow with a medium head that leaves great lacing. Flavor is german malt with a touch of yeast balanced by the hop characteristics. Clean and crisp palate. Tasty. JCW (1262), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Aroma / Appearance - One finger head lingers over a golden, actively carbonated body that reminds me of banana nut bread, wheat, hops and also maintains a general light airiness.
Flavor / Palate - Slightly bitter first impression is a taste of what comes afterwards. A balance of malts, hops and wheat combines to form an interesting and strong taste that eventually yields to pine nuts, rose petals and dogwood. Overall, fairly good but for some reason it did not impress me. Still a very solid pilsener that one could drink all summer. crazyvin (1254), New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 14, 2003 A very good pilsner a noticeable malty taste with a nice bitter finish. I found the aroma objectionable there was a nice malty aroma too it, but it was masked by a sweaty presence. It is still the best pilsener i have had too date. nuplastikk (1252), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 26, 2008 12oz bottle. I think this is my favorite American Pils. Transparent deep yellow color with an almost green tint to it. Deliciously crisp and surprisingly hoppy for a Pilsener. Creamy yeast still manages to shine through and compliment the initial bitterness. Excellent as a slow sipper or a session ale. Classic.
