| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Dec 2, 2003 very nicely made, does nothing wrong. very nicely structured on the palate. gives you heaps of hop flavour first up - herbs + pine (hallertau & Northern brewer?) - then grainy, honeyish malt sweetness, then long, late accelerating bitterness, leaving a grassy hop tingle behind. a bit more malt presence wouldn't go astray but this is a very classy beer. Pours a beautiful clear gold with a foamy whipped egg-white head. The aroma is grassy hops and bready malt, some yeast. The yeast flavors come through quite powerfully in a spicy orangy fruity flavor that almost veers toward a bitter wit; the finish makes it intentions quite clear as we get a lovely long bitterness only slighttly metallic. Mouthfeel is great, and I’ve become a fan even if this isn’t what I’d consider quite a classic example of the style.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 3, 2009 Thanks adamharnaugh for this 12ozer. Pours clear yellow with a pillowy white head. Nose is creamed corn, pale malt, hay, grass, and hops. Flavor is bittering pine hops intermingle with hay, grass, malt, and a corn/ fruit sweetness that quickly retreats from the truckload of hops. Well-made, thirst quenching, and medium-bodied (for a pils). Refreshing. SDalkoholic (1198), Chula Vista, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 19, 2006 Straw gold color with a weak layer of film. Aroma is full of malt grain, and hops. Flavor was strong for a pils with a lot of sourgrass, malt, grain, and bread. I wasn’t to fond of this pils. wilkie (1192), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 30, 2005 Bottle. Pours clear golden with lots fo carbonation and a small white head. Aroma is grainy and slightly bitter. Flavor is typical of German pilseners and somewhat crisp. Could be a little tighter, but it did taste wonderfully fresh compared to the good German pilseners I have had here.
Draught. Little more bitter and fresher flavor even still. Draught is the way this beer should be consumed! NosirIwont (1186), Aalborg Vestby, Denmark
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 29, 2009 Bottle. 10 days past ‘best before’. Pours a hazy light yellow with a white head. Good lacing. Sweetish, clean, crisp hop aroma with a sharp citrus/lemon note in the background. Flavour is hoppy and bitter, and has the same citrus/lemon note as the aroma. Lingering hop bitterness with grassy notes in the finish. Overall quite alright, but the citrus/lemon note is a bit like the one found in German ‘biermischgetränke’, which is not really my thing, so lower score for that. 29-10-09. jcr (1184), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 20, 2005 Hazy yellow with moderate white head. Aroma of fresh straw, grass and a bit of perfume. Flavor starts with malt but yields to hops — grains with slight lemon and a slightly bitter aftertaste. Nicely carbonated. Overall, a well balanced, excellent pilsener with big flavor.
