Hoppy nose for sure (pine, grass, grapefruit, lemon). Additional aromas of grain, toasted malt, doughy yeast esters. Nice crisp and twangy taste with a very hoppy character. Good undertone of malt for balance. Good body for a pils with a dry and lively mouthfeel. Unique among American pils, sublime complexity offered from this aggressively hopped beer. What a difference a good dose of hops can make to a pale lager. This is full of flavour - firm and tangy without being aggressive, leaving a healthy English hop bitterness unusual for a lager. The hop impact is such that it feels immediately American, even though the ingredients are all European. This is a modern brewing approach to traditional ingredients and methods, and it works well. A very drinkable and attractive brew. Skinnyviking (4171), Copenhagen, Denmark

Mild malty hoppy aroma Slightly sour hoppy malty caramel flavor with low carbonation and short aftertaste. Quite good actually. Ughsmash (4074), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA

Huge aroma for the style, with plenty of hops, honey, and apricots. Very smooth in the front of the mouth, with bready malt hitting the taste buds first. Hops come through after that, and carry through for a nice long slightly bitter finish. Loved the hop presence in here! Very easy drinking, and easily the best pils I have found to date. Good straightforward pils, for a change. Good hops. Wasn’t very popular, but I appreciated for the style. Aah refreshing! Smooth, not much to look at. Thanks Mr_kimchee for the sample. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 27, 2005 Bottle (12oz). Poured clear, oily bright brass, with an average white foamy head. Smells like most pilsners, maybe more pungent hops than normal, plenty of fresh hay and a hint of honey. Taste - oh yeah, that’s a great pils! Plenty of hops, fresh sweet grains, don’t get corn or adjuncts at all, very crisp with a long, pleasantly bitter finish. Maybe the best pils I’ve ever had. As I promised I gave this beer second try. As I suspected the first sample was not as fresh as it could be. Great hop nose, soft medium with sweet well refined malt. Very Bohemian like. Gold pils with great lacing .Medium body, slightly dry with unusual oily tone. Bitter roundup supported with strong enough for that malt. Dry alcohol is just great add-on. I did worry that this Pils as is in many cases will be over hopped. Here it is not the case, hefty but sensible amount. Great brew!
