tartz99 (10), USA Jul 18, 2002 This may well be a perfect beer. From the bottle to the glass, it screams ’drink me’. There is a floral/spicy mouthwatering aroma. Wonderful. And the taste is pilsner perfection. A beautiful meld of hops and clean malt flavor. This beer is a must-have. KegMan99 (3), USA does not count Jul 25, 2002 My second favorite beer to drink. My first is Vicotory’s Hellerbock. There is nothing more refreshing than drinking a tall cold Prima on a hot humid North East summer day. mjurney (61), Amarillo, Texas, USA Jan 12, 2006 Updated: Jul 13, 2006Pours light golden color with a head. Crisp and herbable aroma. The flavor is awesome; very crisp, spicy (from the hops), clean and dry finish. One of the best pilsner I ever had. Really enjoy it. robertzarko (2), Wallingford, Pennsylvania, USA does not count Aug 21, 2005 Build like the classic pilseners of Pilzen! Great summer beer with excellent color and balance of hops. Excellent from the tap, still good from the bottle. HighGravity (890), Baltimore, Maryland, USA May 29, 2002 Updated: Jan 25, 2003Great white head with a wonderful spicy hop aroma backed by a nice wiff of malt. The palate is first malty then hoppy with a dry finish. Great balance on a hard to get right style. Excellent well made pils! Admiral (524), Schnecksville, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 29, 2003 Tonight I have seen both extremes of lager. First I tried the bland horror of Bud Light, now I discover one of the best beers that I have ever known. Golden-yellow, big white head, lots of lacing. Aroma of German noble hops, especially Saaz. Flavor of hops, again Saaz, much floral and grassy stuff in there. It's nice that someone can make a really hoppy beer that isn't an IPA or APA. This hoppiness is held up by some soft sweet malt. It's light-bodied but in a good way. I'm really impressed by this beer. Most micros seem to avoid pilsners as being too close to macro swill, but this really proves what the style can do. ElGaucho (1730), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Aug 18, 2002 Had this for the 1st time at the City Pages beer fest in Minneapolis a few months ago, and loved it, but the 3 oz I tasted were not enough to form a complete opinion. Now that I have, I have nothing but positive things to say. The 1st impression is a citrus fruit hoppy aroma. The appearance is unique; the cloudy, amber-gold hue with a thick white head provides an alluring attractiveness. This is quite possibly the best pilsner I’ve ever had, which means it supplants Urquell from the top of my list. There is so much flavor and complexity here, it is almost unfair to other Pilsners for Prima to be an entry in the Pilsner category. Nevertheless, the bar has been raised, and we all will benefit from competitors attempting to best the Prima! Brianroz99 (123), Mullica Hill, New Jersey, USA Apr 10, 2001 This one is heavy in hops! A true pils, holds up to all imports!!
