Appealing dynamic golden yellow color, some fine haze. Carbonation and head are most impressive and the lacing is also very nice. Flavor is nicely balanced between the light but bodifying German pilsner malts and the fresh-tasting, spicy hops. Finish is on the dry side, and the malt plays its part well here, too, adding a little light, bready sweetness to the drying effect of the hops. Yeah, this is just about the best Pils I ever had. Lots going on here for that style of beer. They may be German ingredients, but they’re in American quantities! jayme9874 (756), Hamburg, New York, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 22, 2002 Light golden/yellow,slightly hazy, awesome fluffy head and lace, loads of german malt in the nose along with a substanial floral hop presence. Tasty, a well defined almost sweet malt, subdued spicyness, grassy and light citric notes all show themselves on the palate and is then flushed away beautifully by a huge slap in the face of addicting saaz hops. Very sharp, clean and refreshing. Fanastic brew. Hugerat (432), somerville, Massachusetts, USA

Methinks they've been drinking too much Heineken... Stick with the German stuff. Anyway, this is NOT a classic German pils, more reminiscent of an American IPA. Though good, very good. Wonderful floral aroma with a hint of citrus fruit, pours a light golden, slightly cloudy color with some lace and a nice hoppy smack in the face. Great beer, though I don't think it really belongs in the pilsener category. Aber trotzdem isses Prima. Prost! Hopistotle420 (1178), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA

Aroma mostly sweet with a hint of pine. Sweet first then a long refreshing saaz finish. Big hops, very nicely balanced out. Excellant pilsner, outstanding. Braudog (3777), Dayton, Ohio, USA

This is shockingly great flowery, hoppy wonderful light lager; for all the "yellow beer haters" ... this beer is as big and flavorful as all the American IPAs, but comes in the guise of a pilsner. Drink it. Love it. Touchdown! UnionMade (621), Connecticut, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 1, 2003 For a pilsner, this destroys the myth that only the Germans and their Eastern European cousins understand this often complex style of beer. Thick and rich palate. Crisp clean flavor and not overly hopped like many American brewers lean toward. Delicious golden color. It screams for a warm spring or summer day. For pilseners, this is one of the best. Not a hint of skunk! Alcoholist (570), Peoria, Illinois, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 28, 2004 Golden color, nice head. Aroma is truly pilsner with a bit more hoppyness. The flavour od the german malts provides a strong backbone for generous hopping. Finish is dry, crisp and very drinkable. One of the world's best pilsners.
