This is the lightest colored, yet fullest flavored lager I have come across. The body is surprinsingly full and complex, noting sour fruits, honey and straw - a wild mix of sour, sweet and earthy flavors that work wonderfully well together. The loads of bittering hops add a great finish that lingers. Wonderful stuff. Cows9 (41), Dumont, New Jersey, USA

Perfect balance of malt and hops for a pilsner. Nice and crisp with a pleasant bitter taste that runs through til the finish. Slightly malty flavor also appears on the finish. Great palate--totally refreshing pilsner. Fergz99 (17), Phila, Pennsylvania, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 6, 2005 12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy straw color with a bountiful white head. Aroma is of soft floral hops, with an emphasis on Saaz. Notes of grass and light malt. Flavor is very sharp with a great hop bite and finishes very clean. There is also a strong german malt backbone to it that comes out in mid swallow. This is what a true pilsner ought to taste like. Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated with a light fizziness. This is just a great refreshing knock your socks off beer. An American classic. kevin62 (267), New Jersey, USA

Great that even two star restaurants have craft beers nowadays.
Full malty flavour, hoppy aroma, dry crisp finish. An ideal food companion. Oxymoron (104), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 28, 2008 Pours a vibrant yellow color with a clear complexion, good head retention and limited lacing. The smell was sweet with citrus notes and some herbal scenes as well. Taste has a crisp, dry and hoppy flavor. No skunk flavors and very easy to drink. A great pils backing but there is more of an American style feel. The hop is very floral and crisp. The malt is the stronger of the two flavors. I think that what this beer has going for it is that it is super easy to drink, the flavor is smooth with out the European skunk and its easy to get. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 7, 2005 12 oz. bottle. Clear golden hue with beautiful white head, well maintained. Refreshing malt flavor well balanced by floral hops, most likely Saaz. Dry in the finish, an excellent example of the style.
