Absolutely beautiful to look at.. Aroma is of a grassy meadow a touch of alfalfa and some light grains. Flavor is quite hoppy for a pilsner. Very grassy and natural tasting. Some light grains, a little dough, a bit o honey, and a touch of citrus at the end before the nice dry finish. On the palate this is crisp and clean and a real thirst quencher. I’m not usually a big fan of this style but this one is tasty.. This is the best pilsener I’ve tried and would be a regular summer beer for me if it was sold here in Ohio. Outstanding.. mkgrenwel (420), Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 22, 2005 Updated: Apr 10, 20064/10/06 Re-rate: I’m an idiot and I managed to buy a 6-pack from the same exact batch, from the same store as my previous rating. That bottle was already a good bit past it’s enjoy by date (6/22/05), so by now it’s almost a year past. I always forget to check the dates on the bottles, which Is really dumb since I know that the stores around here have a tendency to leave this stuff on the shelves forever (I can get pretty much any of their seasonals year round). Oh well, even though it’s the same beer, my palate has changed significantly. I still don’t like pilseners, except for this one. Definitely has that noble hop crispness and yeasty breadiness that I found last time. I get more complexity, though. There is this one flavor that I just can’t place, but the best way to describe it is lemon and basil. Since I said basil, it does have some herbal tones, but not in the way I’m used to. It’s more like a fresh picked herb like basil or maybe even cilantro. Definitely honey in there as well. Lively carbonation with a rich but clean mouthfeel. While this beer doesn’t
taste any different to me than the last time, I enjoy it significantly more. Because of this, the old rating is scrapped.

I knew I didn’t like pilseners much, but I had heard such great things about this that I had to give it a shot. Turns out I just don’t like pilseners. Lots of noble hops in the aroma and flavor. Has that noble "crisp but not bitter" quality. A bit bready with the yeast. Definitely drinkable. Even though I don’t like it much I find the glass to empty very quickly. If you like the style, this is a great pick. If not, you won’t get too excited. abb73 (27), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 5, 2006 Pours a golden-yellow with a white head that leaves a fair amount of lacing. Has a bright hop aroma. The flavor is light, crisp, and dry, and big with a good malt backbone sort of hiding behind the hops. It leaves a wonderful bitter aftertaste reminiscent of celery. A fantastic pilsner and a wonderful gift, wish I had 5 more. skweek (13), College Park, Maryland, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | May 8, 2007 Bottle. Pours clear, light golden yellow. Aroma is BIG! Lemon, grassy hoppiness. Slight cookie aroma from the pale malt perhaps? Taste is crisp, tart, refreshing with slight hops bitterness in the end. Not sure the variety of hops but they work well in this Pils. Great summer beer, very enjoyable and easy drinking. VeloVampire (490), Parkdale, Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 13, 2006 Updated: Jul 7, 200712 oz bottle shared with StompBrockmore - pours a pale gold with a solid white head that actually stayed throughout the glass. Sweetish aroma, typical of a quality pils. Flavour - excellent - crisp and dry, with that familiar pils bite, but there’s more here - the huge hopping of this beer makes everything stand at attention and gives a beautiful sweet, full taste in the mouth without being cloying. The finish is much the same, but with the hop bitterness fading into a malt sweetness that you can feel all the way down your throat. Superb! MrBendo (1044), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jun 28, 2007 Draught in pint glass at Flying Saucer Raleigh. Clear light gold with lasting white head and lace. Faint aroma of yeast and tart hops. Flavors of honey/lemon with a crisp snappy bitter finish. Medium high carbonation and light body. An excellent example of the style, deserving of the hype.
