Has that nice bitter euro hop kick without causing your mouth to sour and become fatigued. Big bight golden sunny straw colors with a nose of fresh grass, herbal hops, and dry cereal grains. I often bring this camping with friends and use it as an introduction to the world of really good beer. johndavidj99 (123), Township, Maine, USA

Hops, grass and malts detected in aroma. I can’t wait to taste! Amazing! It is such a crisp and clean taste that it disappears as soon as you swallow. Wonderful hoppy taste. This is what a pisner is..wow! I could drink 12 of these! Lothore (276), California, USA

S- Smell is not too expressive but definitely malt forward with some hops.
T- Tastes sweet and malty but definitely has a hop kick for a pilsener. Very smooth and tasty.
M- Mouthfeel is very carbonated (perhaps a bit too much) and medium bodied. The carbonation, while somewhat overkill did add to the light smoothness.
D- This is sublimely drinkable. It melds a lighter pilsener style beer with a flavor that is so well balanced and smooth it makes you want more and more. gueuzeisgod (109), Graham, North Carolina, USA

Has a nice proteiny head that laces the glass, good floral hop aroma. Bigger than usual hop bitterness- bridges the gap between continental pils and big hoppy American beers. Easy drinking, good clean flavor, very nicely brewed, I could have a keg of this on tap at all times. Few if any other US breweries can make a pils like this. Gets a solid 4. daknole (3000), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 1, 2008 Cloudy golden pour with a nice head. Aroma is not your typical pils by any means. You can tell it has some pils qualities but the delicious hops in the nose set this one apart from most. Flavor is yeasty and hoppy...but not bitter or resiny. This is a good beer. I am very glad I finally got to try it. Head quickly disappeared. It was a hot and humid day today, I was looking for a clean and refreshing beer and this one fit the bill. Sweat sock like malty aroma, not a bad thing. Crisp for an American Pils. Like a Pilsner Urquell at it’s best (not skunked) with a bit more malt finish. I really like this beer. Solid Pils, does not suffer from the "all the beers taste similar" curse of a lot of "micros" see Sierra Nevada, Sam Adams, Pete’s Elwood (677), Leesburg, Virginia, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 6, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy yellow color with a small, foamy white head. The nose is crisp hops, light lemon, and a touch of grass. Medium carbonation with a medium-light mouthfeel. Citrus (primarily lemon), grass, a touch of floral, and a very light malt sweetness on the palate. Smooth and very drinkable. Great lacing left behind also. Overall a very refreshing and highly quaffable beer. Maybe a touch on the sweet side and one IBU too much of hops, but that is really splitting hairs. Damn good and certainly one I will get again! slitcher (98), Freeport, Illinois, USA

Hops, grass and grains on the nose. Very crisp and dry with a refreshing bitterness backed by the German malt. Nice bitter finish. Truly an amazing Euro-style pilsner. Fantastic!
