Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: 2 row German pale malt; Czech Saaz, German Northern Brewer hops.
Heaps o’ hops are hiding under the full, frothy head of this elegant Pils. All German malt subtleties linger beneath a long dry finish of this classy quencher.

This was a pilsener. This beer easily stretches the definition of what a pilsener can be. The aroma could have been stronger and unfortunately the golden color dosen’t entice. It was just about as clear as one can get though. Has a great balance between smooth, sweet maltiness up front and the hops bitterness at the end. I can see myself repeatedly drinking this.

This is a great pilsener from the time you pour it out to the last drop that smacks your mouth. Great color and head with a wonderful balance of hops and malt.

Definitely an American take on the style with its strongly aromatic hop presence. Citric and earthy. Bright, clean, delicious, and refreshing.

2/14/04. Poured out of 12 oz. bottle, obtained in a trade with Secret Santa on RateBeer 12/17/03. Pours a lightly hazy pale golden, very sleek-looking. Lots of tiny, pulpy-looking particles floating inside. Billowy, white, rocky head dissipates to a thin and uneven whisp with spotty and very fast, but surprisingly resilient lacing. Aroma is of bright but only subtly sweet fresh honey, pale malt, and faint, clean hops. Very nice pilsner I can tell. Flavor is immediately plant-like but not necessarily hoppy. Grassy, I suppose, but it's more like a green-leaf herb or vegetable, maybe spinach. Probably a bit too strongly vegetabley. Bold, medium-full mouthfeel with very dry, leafy finish. Very drinkable, despite its vegetablish persuasions, and it's quite lovely but a little odd for my palate. Almost like drinking something from a juicer. Nice background appearance from the malts that are in there, but they could use a little stronger appearance to push this one over the top. They really come out in the long, elegant and delicate finish (definitely leaving you wanting more), but as soon as you taste more, it's a little jarring to experience again the vegetable assault, and you almost begin to question why exactly you wanted more to begin with. Still quite a good beer, just a little bit odd. 7/4/7/4/16/3.8 5/3/03. On tap at Hopleaf in Chicago, IL 5/3/03. ORIGINAL RATING. Very good pilsner. Elegant is right. Thick, creamy head leads to a dusty-colored golden body. Nicely malty and hoppy flavor with a long, bitter finish. Very well-balanced. 8/4/7/4/15/3.8 Final rating reflects averages of the two ratings.

Light yellow with a big frothy head. Looks like your average American pilsner but it sure doesn't taste like one. This baby has hops galore with the malt background to support them. A well-balanced beer that is both flavorful and thirst-quenching. Would make a great Summer beer. The Bud and Miller crowd should break ranks and give this beer a try.

Rerate: Sticky, lasting head that coated the side of the glass. Earthy and lasting hop profile, fairly light though. I can see this as a great compliment to pasta salad. I appreciate this much more than the first tasting!

Hazy yellow to copper body with a thick white head. Some floaterss. Lots of lacing too.
Somewhat subdued malt and hop aroma. Spicey, fresh hop aroma.
Nice complex malt profile. Sweet malts balanced with a juicy bite of hops. Great malty/bitter aftertaste that sticks with you.
Full bodied and extremely smooth. One of the better lagers that I've had.

Light to medium gold in colour with a fair amount of carbonation. Surprisingly strong malty aroma with some good notes of floral hops as well. Good balance between malt flavor and bitterness with loads of wildflower honey flavors as well. A bit heavier in the mouth than expected, but this is some seriously good pilsner.
