Commercial Description:
With a huge, Pacific Northwest hop aroma & character upfront, Storm King subsides into massive, roast malt complexity. More flavor than mere words can adequately describe. Rich and substantial, it will warm your heart.

Fabulous beer. Inky black, tan head with nice lacing. Full-bodied malty aroma. The flavor at first is remarkably light but the follow through is an almost explosive roasted flavor that really lingers, each sip a sensation. Wish I had more!

Pours a deep, oily black with little to no head. Complex, smoky aroma. Flavors include some chocolate, coffee, burned grain, smoke. Very bitter finish. Very glad to have the chance to try one.

Bottle (35 cl) at Ölrepubliken, Göteborg, Sweden. Black with a rich beige head. Chocolate roasted malt aroma with notes of coffee and salmiak. Medium bodied and smooth. Dry with a bitter, slightly salty finish. Well balanced and very drinkable.

Warm chocolate syrup nose with hints of coffee, molasses, and tobacco pipe smoke. Deep black color with a hint of amber, massive deep tan meringue like head. Rich roasted malt sweetness, very spicy clove bitterness, nicely balanced. Medium carbonation, full bodied, chewy mouth feel, long roasty toasty warming finish. Pretty intense beer, the spicy notes and lack of that sometimes overly bitter burnt roasted malt characteristic in some Imperial Stouts make this stand out.

Chilled in a pint glass. It pours pitch black with a thick head that lingers. The aroma is very hoppy and floral with lasting french roast coffee nose. Taste is roasted/charred malt with strong coffee and bittersweet chocolate tones. Its really a nice beer to have on a cold winter day. Oh yea, this beer can also take age well. The hop aroma drops some and you are left with a slightly fatter stout.

pours a great dark color for an imerial. i like them with an espresso, toasted taste and this has it. it has some chocolate hints and although i dont like too much chocolate, this does it well. it isnt arrogantly over priced either. fills you up but a heck of a night when you put down a 6 pack

Really dark beer -- looked as near black as any beer I’ve seen, though the lighting was low and certainly contributed to the darkness. Very little head, but that is immaterial here. Aroma is espresso and bitter dark chocolate -- absolutely wonderful, strong hops, too, but leap out less than the description suggests (at least to me). Very smooth on the palate - certainly lithe. Flavors of espresso, dark chocolate, leather and even some tobacco. Very good beer, definitely recommended.
