| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 6, 2007 Beautiful amber color. Aroma of caramel. Strong mouthfeel, strong taste of dark caramel, almost burnt sugar, molasses. Good and powerful, but the bitterness in the end is too strong. fozapd (33), Burlington, New Jersey, USA

It poured an almost brown colored body with an off white head. The aroma was pleasant with notes of spices, and malts. The taste was malty but with a notable smoky finish. This isn’t a bad alt but I didn’t enjoy the smoky finish in my alt. BDR (2169), Roseville, Minnesota, USA

Dark copper in color with faint head. Sweet body, but a bit drier than the schwelmer purchased a week earlier. Braudog (3778), Dayton, Ohio, USA

I swear this smells like pancake syrup. Super tangy ... damn near grapefruity, yet bready. Disappointing offering from Victory. JB175 (1664), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 6, 2007 Cloudy mohogany color with an off-white head and a good amount of yeast settling at the bottom. Aroma is a mix of honey, nuts, and slightly sweetened bread. Taste is nutty, lightly sugared, and just a bit bitter from some floral hops. I really should have tried it in its prime, but this one still holds up pjk33 (384), Sligo - Curllsville Heights, Pennsylvania, USA

I’ve been holding this one so I could compare it to the homebrew Alt that I made last year... This one wins! I wouldn’t consider this a normal alt, however... Much more of a caramel color than any others that I have had (most were darker brown) and also a good bit stronger and sweeter. This is hoppy like most Victory beers are and is quite a brew. I’m glad I saved this one. Nice creamy quality to this one and good carbonation bite. NIce beer
