Alcohol is hidden well in this brew, be careful... it’s potent! (12% as you might guess). Lots of dark fruits and flavors such as over-ripened apples, bananas and some citrus goodness. Appearance is good but the head dicipated quick quickly. A tad on the sweet side for me. Glad I tried it! VikingHammer (363), Lynnfield, Massachusetts, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 7, 2007 Very thick orange pour, lots of head, fairly sweet and alcohol-rich in the aroma. You know this one is going to smack you around. Lots of raisin and dates in the aroma. Some plum and general caramel maltiness too. Taste is very fruity and not quite as complex as I anticipated. Extremely malty, not bitter at all, and a fair amount of alcohol. I had hoped this would be just a tiny bit spicier or hoppier, but a generally pleasant drink. Beer poured a golden color with a huge rocky head. The head was at least 3 inches in depth and took the longest time to recede a couple of inches to pour some more of the beer. There was a constant one inch head the entire time I was drinking it.
The smell is yeasty with some fruit and alcohol in the nose. I also found what I’m thinking is a "bubble gum" smell in the nose.
Taste is really good. The yeasty smell comes through in the taste as well as the aforementioned bubble gum. I’m also getting some lemon zest. Mouthfeel is smooth and easy going. Decent amount of carbonation.
Although the taste kind of masks the alchohol, make no mistake it is every bit of 12%. I drank this entire bomber by myself in under an hour and it hit me like a ton of bricks. It’s so easy drinking that you never notice the alcohol. But you feel it when your done.
Nice brew, that I’ll definitely partake of again. Stine (1380), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA

Port, caramel and green apple aromas precede a sharply carbonated, bready body. Bubblegum sweetness, green fruit, and brown sugar or toffee flavors. Very hot and sweet in general but not to the point of unpleasantry, however much these qualities are more apparent than complexity of flavor. Unflawed; tasty for the most part. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 23, 2007 The aroma is citrus - lemon, slight sweet yeast. The head is big and frothy at first, off white, mostly diminishing and good lacing. The body is hazy and an amber-orange. The initial flavor is a touch bitter, hits the middle of the tongue with a touch of sweet hitting the sides of the tongue. The body is light to medium, the texture is slight watery with a lively fizzy carbonation. The finish leaves the tongue dry in the middle from the carbonation with a slight astringent feel.
