Commercial Description:
A swirling dynamo of flavor, with a steady calm of satisfaction at its heart, that's Whirlwind Witbier. Offering a tamed tempest of flavors both spicy and sublime, this softly fermented ale greets the nose and tingles the tongue. Imported Belgian yeast charges Whirlwind with an energy all its own. It is a refreshing interpretation of the classic, Belgian 'white beer' style.

Very different flavor for a summer ale. Much more spicy than the normal plain summer stuff that most put out. Honestly it tasted like a VERY weak version of the Golden Monkey

This pours a pee yellow color and sort of smells like play-dough. I don’t have much kind to say about it as I don’t really think it was a great Wit. It was creamy and watery at the same time. It had a strong citrus aspect, which it should but at least the one I had did not work well.

12 oz. Hazy orange-gold with a fleeting head. Aroma of orange bubblegum, wheat, spicy bread yeast. Flavor is orange-banana-mango bubblegum, dried well by some evergreen resin, spices, orange peel and yeasty flavors. Light-medium body is lightly carbonated, has a bit of tongue tingle and finishes tartly dry without the stomach acid/lemonade flavors that many American wheats seem to strive for. Not much to look at, but a very tasty and balanced Wit.

Sampled at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits Wednesday evening beer tasting. Pours a semi-hazy blonde brew with a thin white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and thin ring. Aroma of light fruity pear , banana a hint of clove and bubblegum. Taste is light bodied, plenty of carbonation with flavors of crystal grain malt, some banana, pears and a touch of cloves. Finish is slightly watery with a fast disappearing yeast aftertaste. Very little coriander detected in this wit.

Hazy yellow body with small, white head. Aroma is yeasty and spicy with notes of coriander and clove, almost too pungent. The flavor is slightly sweet and evokes tastes of clove, pepper and pear. Medium body with a watery texture. Moderately dry finish. Though this beer has all the aromas and flavors I associate with a witbier, something is off in the way they blend together

Bottle. At first i didnt like the smell, but it grew on me. Its a good think I bought a six pack. The best time to drink this is on a hot day in summer. It’s lite and crisp and clean. A very citrisey taste thats refreshing. I like this, but Victory has better offerings.

Had this one on tap at the Gramercy Tavern in NYC.....one of the freshest and most enjoyable beers I have had in awhile....the perfect summer thirst quencher....citrusy aroma is followed up by a sweet citrus taste that finishes with the perfect amount of bitterness....some spicey tones are also evident.....this beer stood up incredibly well to the excellent chow and bold flavours at Gramercy......I think this is a beer that, if tasted when fresh, would be rated much higher.

Bottle at The Pub in Ohiopyle, PA. Pours a pale hazy straw color with a frothy white head. The aroma is yeasty with some coriander and citrus. The flavor is pretty sweet, but has a really nice spice to it. Some clove and coriander with a bit of bitterness to it. Light body makes this pretty refreshing, especially after a day of white water rafting.
