Commercial Description:
A swirling dynamo of flavor, with a steady calm of satisfaction at its heart, that's Whirlwind Witbier. Offering a tamed tempest of flavors both spicy and sublime, this softly fermented ale greets the nose and tingles the tongue. Imported Belgian yeast charges Whirlwind with an energy all its own. It is a refreshing interpretation of the classic, Belgian 'white beer' style.

Heavily carbonated (big bubbles) to medium white head; pineapplejuice-coloured head. Serious coriander load, with citrus and wheat - nothing but very classical. Coriander, spicy, bit of lunaria, citrus & citruspeel. Reasonably refreshing, just a wee bit too much of the infernal weed spoiling the texture. A very classical, rather true-to-style Belgian wit.
Alas.

Wonderful Witbier from Victory. Pours a hazy pale yellow color with a frothy white head that quickly dissipates. Splendid aroma of fruity and estery notes - just what you want from a Wit. Flavor was softly spicy and pleasant. A great beer with a smooth finish. I really enjoyed it. I think most do not embrace this style - hence my higher grade on this one than the average.

The label is funny, and the beer is pale yellow with a fizzy head. There is a mild aroma of sweet malt plus citrus and cherry notes. It starts a little sour in the mouth, then shifts into mild fruity sweetness. This is nice, but too thin - an acceptable warm weather beer, but you wouldnt want to pour it for your Uncle Bob.

Tap at the Blue Nile. Slightly musty nose with a hint of orange peel and yeasty spice. Pours a hazy gold. Nice balance on the palate between sweet and spicy yeast. Good carbonation. Medium bodied. Finishes quite spicy and dry.

Pours a cloudy copper color. Has white head. Hints of your typical wheat. A lot of yeast in this one. Finishes lite on the palate. Disappointing.

pours a cloudy yellow with a one finger fluffy white head. aroma is wheat with a touch of hops and Belgium yeast. has some banana, clove, and lemon characteristics. has a light to medium body with good lacing and carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma. there is nice lively carbonation in the glass with some sediment. has a little creamy mouth feel and a little orange peel aroma and flavor. a descent wit beer and i would probably buy again for a hot summer day. definitely light on the palate, maybe just a tad to light for a wit. everything kind of fizzles out as it gets warmer, which is pretty quick about half way down the pint.

i found it chalky astringent and just like an alka seltzer. the flavor was decent at best. it tastes something like a belgium. had it before and did’nt like it then either. a bit spicy and lemony, hate to say it but i’d probably rather have wine.
