| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 9, 2006 Pale cloudy gold. Fairly wheaty aroma. Thinnish, quickly disappearing head. Citrusy in taste - a summer beer. I didn’t think it was quite up to Victory’s reputation. Point Brewery of Stevens Point WI makes as fine a product as this at an affordable price. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 7, 2006 Very pale gold color, slight haze. Fizzy head, immediately fades to nothing despite a lot of bubbles coming up through the body. Quite vigorous. Normal "witbier" aroma... estery cloves, banana, dry wheat. Wish I could be more descriptive. Same with flavor, but dries out a bit too much for me in the finish. Not bad though. lamas (731), Adams Morgan, Washington DC, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 3, 2006 Bottle. Enjoy by: 10/14/06. Pours a hazy gold with a thin white head and tons of little floaties. A very spicy and wheaty aroma that features plenty of cinnamon along some cloves, bananas, lemons and orange peels. The body isn’t exactly thin, but it’s a tad watery. Not as flavor-packed as I expected after smelling it. Tangy citrusy tastes with some spices dominate. There is a bit of a dry, tart finish. Some sour lemon in there too. Fairly bland for the style. GeneralGao (3072), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jun 3, 2006 12 oz bottle. Poured a hazy yellow color with a thin white head that dissipated quickly. Yeasty, bread-dough aroma and flavor with subdued orange and coriander notes. Eh, too much like bread dough. eaglefan538 (2403), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 2, 2006 Updated: Jul 4, 2008Re-rate after several summer of 08 experiences: Grassy elements mixed into the standard wit profile, spicing highlighted by cinammon, coriander, others. A nice drinkable wit, but it isn’t up there with my preferred Hoegaarden. Rating gets bumped up to just above average, a beer I buy when wanting a wit, supporting the local guys. Original rating: Sampled straight from the bottle: Not one I’ll return to, this one was well below the average of witbiers. Flavor was weak, overly sweetened, and had a nasty aftertaste - plastic? Way better witbiers out there and way better choices from Victory. jollyraider (252), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 1, 2006 Bottle. Pours very clear straw with thin white head. Aroma is a bit lagery, not much else. Much less hazy wheat character than most wits but a little more on the spicy side, the coriander and orange really popping. The aroma and thinness is a turn off. jason (1626), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA

No good aroma. Sour.
Appearance is typical golden/cloudy/white with thin head, very thin.
Very sour taste with little carbonation. Very bland with not much going on leaving the palate wondering why? Why are you doing this to me?
It’s a decent brew for hot days like this one but overall I’m disappointed this came from Victory. StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 1, 2006 Pale, semi cloudy and muted pale yellow. A foamy, sudsy white head fizzles down to a minute bubble sheaf. Cloves and a buttery lemon-lime concoction come to call, aromatically speaking. It’s a pungently sweet serenade that could be mistaken for lemon-lime Alka Seltzer. Some earthy vanilla and corn husks are able to somewhat smooth it out. Aside from the clove wafts, the aroma causes setback. Lickspittle lemon, coriander and clover flavor contributions register first and foremost. Tiny peppered and a dry spice bite give sustenance to the otherwise light body. Lime rind in a carbonated limeade summer refresher, and then diluted lemon and lime juice drizzled over whole grain oats and corn flakes. Granted, any breakfast with a Victory beer is a blessing, but this one lags slightly behind the other seasonal offerings. Partially delivers but comes up short of bready and biscuit arraignments. Clover, lemon sprits, lemon chiffon cream cheese danishes and a smidgeon of dry coriander leave a brisk, titillating aftertaste.
