May 23, 2006 Pours hazy citrine with a thin white head. Aroma is pumpkin pie and kielbasa spicy: an odd pairing but a pleasing combination to me. This beer tastes tangy--lots of wheat sparks on the tongue. My boyfriend did not like this beer, but I think it’s A OK.

May 20, 2006 Good wit beer. Pale yellow in color with citrus flavors. Lemon taste with crisp finish. A good summer beer.

May 19, 2006 Draft, Baja Bean, Staunton VA. Bright gold with white head, served with lemon wedge. Nose of spicy wheat, lemon, mild coriander, and faint yeast. Flavor follows, somewhat dry throughout. Nothing too exciting, but balanced and tasty, and a great food beer.

May 19, 2006 Tap at the Drafting Room in Springhouse. Cloudy banana-colored body with substantial carbonation and a big, foamy white head. Aroma of bitter orange peel and clove. Somewhat odd medicinal, menthol flavor suggesting anise, plus more clove. Wildly spiced and quite bitter for a witbier. The appeal grows and settles into a decent beer.

May 16, 2006 Poured into a tumbler. Looks like urine. Light yeast aromas. Sweet and lemony with a dry lingering fizzy finish. Tastes better than it looks. Good lawnmower beer.

May 12, 2006 HOT DOG! I am not excited about this beer. I am saying hot dog because thats what I smell. Hot dog water! Its malty, with a spicy/bitter and sweet after taste. I have to get used to these kind of beers

May 6, 2006 I gasped with disappointment when I excitedly poured out this Victory offering: it looked like Keystone light. Never fear, alas, the nose restored my enthusiasm with a breeze of doughy malt and citrusy spice. Palate is medium heavy with a high dose of carbonation. Flavor is rich and enjoyable with layers of bread, lemon and pepper, and clove. This is a great white that does not slack in any arena. Glad to see the healthy ratings for a variety of wheat. Despite the watery appearance, Whirlwind rises to the occasion.
