Jul 6, 2005 Updated: Jul 8, 2005Huge wheat aroma. I’m not a big fan of Witbiers and I don’t necessarily see them as freshing. But despite that, I can tell Victory has done a nice job with this one. A cloudy golden color with a small white head. If you are a fan of Witbiers do yourself a favor and track this one down.

Jul 2, 2005 Thirst-quenching beer. Just had the Allagash again for the first time in awhile earlier today, and unfortunately, perhaps I’ve reached my daily limit in witbier intake, but am still enjoying this one. Perhaps a little milder than the Allagash, with a maltier nose. Nice beer still especially from a brewery that doesn’t necessarily pride itself in recreating Belgian ales.

Jul 1, 2005 Body is a cloudy faint gold with a small white puffy head. Aroma of lemon, coriander, spice, and a bit of sourness. Flavor is light but surprisingly complex and full; lots of summery zest mixed with sour citrus, sweet malts and a small amount of flowery hops. Finishes weak. Not a bad summer drinker.

Jul 1, 2005 Great cloudy consistency with a rich golden color. Goes down smooth with an instant sweet flavor characteristic of Belgian Whites. The after-taste is cool and almost fruity. Perfect blend of sweet and sour tang is correctly balanced. Excellent beer to enjoy on a summer afternoon.

Jun 27, 2005 Pours golden and cloudy with a nice white head. Coriander dominates both the smell and taste of this one with some minor clove and orange elements present. Not quite as balanced as I’m used to in a witbier but still very drinkable, especially when it’s almost 100 degrees out.

Jun 26, 2005 Citrus aroma and flavor like all other wheat beers. Also it was cloudy just like other wheats. I have trouble differentiating wheat beers but this one was certainly enjoyable. Certainly nothing legendary here, but it was easily enjoyable.
