Coriander dominates both the smell and taste of this one with some minor clove and orange elements present. Not quite as balanced as I’m used to in a witbier but still very drinkable, especially when it’s almost 100 degrees out. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 26, 2005 Citrus aroma and flavor like all other wheat beers. Also it was cloudy just like other wheats. I have trouble differentiating wheat beers but this one was certainly enjoyable. Certainly nothing legendary here, but it was easily enjoyable. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 21, 2005 Pours light gold and slightly cloudy with no head. Pretty standard witbier scent, spices and orange peel. The first hit of flavor is fruity and that Belgian yeast flavor, but then a strong, smooth malt comes through. Very light bodied and leaves a clean aftertaste. Above average witbier. crizay (1050), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA
