Wheat aroma with citrusy, herbal, and spicy hints. Refreshing wheaty/yeasty taste with notes of citrus, spices, and coriander. Leaves a decently long aftertaste. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 4, 2005 Bottle: Light, aroma of grass and lemon. Hints of banana, lemon and wheat in the flavor. This is not one of my favorite styles but another good one by the guys at Victory. swirl (267), collingswood, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 3, 2005 This beer pours a wonderous cloudy straw color with a full white head. On the nose it features wheat and lemon/citrus. There also seems to be a scent of raisins as well. The flavor is all wheat with a faint presence of that citrus. Mouthfeel is a little grainy but very tasty. It seems almost impossible that Victory can produce a bad beer. JFURYCAT (791), East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 1, 2005 I got this at Stockertown beverage. Its not one of my all time faves but I like it as a mellow summer brew and, like many other wits out there, it seems to revel in its lemony flavor. The lemonness is subdued by the other ingredients (wheat, coriander seems high, etc). I definately can pick out the yeast which gives this one a flavor of its own. I’ll enjoy this one over the next week so don’t think I quit Ratebeer, I just live in freakin PA. :-) richlikebeer (832), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jun 1, 2005 aroma of lemons, oranges, and yeast coming off a gold (?) body that was constantly efferevescent. head was thin and white and maintained itself for about half the glass. flavor is sweet, the wheat characteristics are very pronounced, a little bit of spices mixed into the citrus, and the yeast is very noticable, but not in a detrimentaly fashion. i thought the best part of this beer is its texture...i found this to have a much fuller body than alot of witbiers, which i usually think are a bit watery, not this one, plus a sweet citrus aftertaste that lingers in my mouth made this a perfect brew to sit on the deck with a book after dinner. wilkie (1191), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 30, 2005 Draught. Pale yellow-gold color. Hazy, with a small creamy white head. Wheat and yeast in aroma. Coriander, fruity flavor with lots of yeast. Light and drinkable, bit of a thin finish. Are you guys gonna start sending your beers to NC????
