Commercial Description:
A swirling dynamo of flavor, with a steady calm of satisfaction at its heart, that's Whirlwind Witbier. Offering a tamed tempest of flavors both spicy and sublime, this softly fermented ale greets the nose and tingles the tongue. Imported Belgian yeast charges Whirlwind with an energy all its own. It is a refreshing interpretation of the classic, Belgian 'white beer' style.

Cloudy pale golden color, foamy white head, thinnish. Aroma of bananas, taste has bananas, vanilla, and a citrusy bite. This is an excellent, refreshing witbier.

Pours with a murky, yellow hue with no head. Aroms is of citrus, with losts of yeast - very spicy smell. Flavor is watery in the beginning then very spicy/yeasty at the end note. Light mouthfeel with pretty flat carbonation - maybe bman1113vr and me got an old bottle?

Bottle. Pours with a sparse white head that fades over a only slightly hazed golden body. Aroma of sweet bread dough, honey, florals and orange peel. Taste is bland with bread, cardboard, orange and light spices...I think this might be a bottle from last year, possibly poorly kept. Light, but tingly carbonation.

Pours a medium golden color with little to no head and nice carbonation. Nice lemon, orange, wheat and spices on the nose. Nice sweetness, citrus and spices (and a slight yeastiness) in the mouth. Nice summer beer.

Bottle Pours a hazy pale yellow with a good white head. The head has good staying power. Lacing seems okay. Has a sweet aroma of lemon, wheat, bread, and spices. Has a good carbonation and a darn good mouthfeel. The flavors a wonderful, get spices, mild sweetness, and a little citrus. Has a light body. A watery texture. A real solid finish with a good aftertaste. I am not really in to the witbier but this is real good.

12oz bottle 5/10/09 (Binny’s Plainfield)-Pours a golden with a small white ring for a head. Aroma of wheat, lemon, coriander, banana, clove, yeast, and citrus. Wheat, yeast, and citrus come forth at the beginning and last throughout. The coriander comes through on the back end. This light bodied wit is pretty darn tasty and well balanced. Nice job.

So I was hungover and had been crapping firewater all day. I needed something light and easy on the stomach to drink at night and stumbled upon this gem. Poured the bottle just above fridge temp and it poured a little clearer and yellower than your average witbier. The smell was faint, but some light spices and yeast came through very delicately. Taste was just what I was looking for, light, hints of orange peel, very light hints of white spices. Nice and light bodied with a good amount of carbonation.
