| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 12, 2009 750 mL bottle, corked & caged, bottle April 2009, sampled September 2009: enormous ivory head, spilling out of the glass...well almost spilling, I took a quick mouthful of the foam and immediately started hop belches. Nice. Sweet malty, pine resiny aroma...accented with honey, strawberries, and band-aids. The head successfully diminishes leaving a thin film a top a cloudy orange-gold body. Tingly palate, that gets pretty close to over-carbonated for me (which is saying it may be over-carbonated for most people) anyway, the bubbles are fun and since they are accompanied with such wonderful burbs, I’ll take it today. The sourness has not yet added a sharp edge, though I can taste the funk developing...grassy notes turn slightly sour on the back of the tongue, while soft, sweet fruits make the lips pucker after 15 oz or so...this was just what I needed tonight, the flavours are subtle enough to not over power the palate, but bold enough to remind you that you are drinking a great beer. Well played, I’d say. Thank you! I knew I should have bought 2, hopefully one day I’ll get to taste what happens to this beer after 2-3 years.

Lots of sour funk in the aroma, as well as some crisp hops with citrus tones. Wow, the wild yeast really turn this one into a new creature. Bitter and hoppy still, there is an in your face sour edge to the beer, not quite as sour as an authentic lambic, more merged into the big picture.. There are also some smooth caramel malt tones. This is quite a unique beer, with a lot of flavors going on. The aroma has probably turned a little, considering the bottle is almost 9 months old. Very new school, experimental, and quite fascinating, I find myself reinterpreting this beer after each sip, noticing some other subtle nuance. emerica56 (586), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 26, 2009 Dumped this into trappist glass with a thick white head, the color is a cloudy orange amber with some suspended particles in it. The nose is very floral and sour, You can really smell the hops used as well as the funky yeast strain. As you sip on you can taste the caramel malt and resin hops, blended with the funk. The acidity and funk sticks to the side walls of your mouth. Overall it has a great carbonation and well blended flavor, really like the use of the funky yeast strain. elgiacomo (95), Chickamauga, Georgia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 22, 2009 750ml bottle. Pours amber with a lively two finger off-white head. Maintains a nice cap down the glass. Some nice lacing. My first brett experience. Aroma is yeasty, bready, some light fruits, banana, citrus, some spice, and that funk I was expecting. Flavor follows suit, funky, yeasty, bread, citrus, somewhat sour, and spice. Mostly dry finish. High carbonation. Nice, I’m intrigued. chriso (4852), London, Greater London, England

Weirdly sweet and sour. The sour funk mingles with candy floss. Lots going n here but much of it is quite difficult to describe. Unusual, interesting and strangely appealing BuckeyeBoy (1683), Boise, Idaho, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 20, 2009 750 mL bottle. Pours clear dark copper with a fizzy, off-white head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is yeast dominant with a balanced malt and hop backbone. Yeast is definitely wild, farmhouse, horse blanket, medicinal, and plastic. Malt is light (biscuit) with some earthy and floral hops. The aroma finishes with a slight sourness. Very floral. Flavor is sour and funky yeast, less sour than funky, with a slightly bitter hop character and some light malt. Mouthfeel is lively carbonation, light and dry start and finish. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 16, 2009 Deep gold body with a tall white head. Dry brett ridden nose, the barn, the hey, the must... the hops. The play between the earthy funk of the brett and the citrus/grapefruit of the IPA hops actually meshed nicely. Very dry body, soft caramel and honey notes up front. kiefdog (1635), Tampa, Florida, USA
