Crisp and highly drinkable ale. Once again Victory succeeds in a European style. Not sure how long they’re making this one, but definitely pick it up, well worth the cost, even though it’s only at 6.7. Wonder how this would sell as a 6 pack...

Dec 22, 2009 750ml bottle. Pours amber with a lively two finger off-white head. Maintains a nice cap down the glass. Some nice lacing. My first brett experience. Aroma is yeasty, bready, some light fruits, banana, citrus, some spice, and that funk I was expecting. Flavor follows suit, funky, yeasty, bread, citrus, somewhat sour, and spice. Mostly dry finish. High carbonation. Nice, I’m intrigued.

Dec 22, 2009 Draught (keg) at the White Horse American Beer Festival, July 2009. Ginger colour. Weirdly sweet and sour. The sour funk mingles with candy floss. Lots going n here but much of it is quite difficult to describe. Unusual, interesting and strangely appealing

Dec 21, 2009 Bottle Thanks to ditmier for sharing. Pours out a dark amber with some orange highs. Topped with a tall cream head. Aroma is of brett, bread, some yeast and spic. Taste a lot more of the bread yeast and spice. A little citrus zest and some malt.

Dec 20, 2009 750 mL bottle. Pours clear dark copper with a fizzy, off-white head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is yeast dominant with a balanced malt and hop backbone. Yeast is definitely wild, farmhouse, horse blanket, medicinal, and plastic. Malt is light (biscuit) with some earthy and floral hops. The aroma finishes with a slight sourness. Very floral. Flavor is sour and funky yeast, less sour than funky, with a slightly bitter hop character and some light malt. Mouthfeel is lively carbonation, light and dry start and finish.

Dec 16, 2009 Deep gold body with a tall white head. Dry brett ridden nose, the barn, the hey, the must... the hops. The play between the earthy funk of the brett and the citrus/grapefruit of the IPA hops actually meshed nicely. Very dry body, soft caramel and honey notes up front.

Dec 16, 2009 75cl bottle from Whole Foods (Tampa, FL). Pours a generally clear amber to copper color with massive three finger bright white foamy head that settles slowly. Aroma is floral with notes of bread, yeast, spice, brett, caramel, honey, pepper, barnyard funk. Flavor is about the same. Medium body with a spicy, fruit, funk finish.

Dec 14, 2009 Bottled. Cloudy copper pour, yellowish, off-white, foamy head. Nose was funky, horseblanket, sandalwood. Flavor was musty, barnyard, malty, bitter dry finish. The brett outshines the hops, though the finish had some hop spiciness.

Dec 13, 2009 Excellent. Aroma is a beautiful marriage of hop and barnyard. Color is deep amber. Carbonation is high, giving a large, short-lived head, that leaves a trail of lace. Hop flavor shines through in the taste. This is followed by well integrated barnyard notes and persistent bitterness. Can I have another?
