A dark brown ale with a thick creamy moka head, with small floaties. A woody caramel aroma, lightly acidic, with raspberry notes. In mouth, a tart sweet caramel, with tannins, acidity, woody, interesting. Overall, a nice one by Huyghe. Bieropholie import, 2006. BB Oct. 2008.

Sep 20, 2008 Bottle from Dranken Geers. Very very deep brown/ruby colour with thick dark beige head. Some roasted malt. Some dry malt, some dark fruits. More dry malt in mouth. Quite juicy though. Touch of hop on end. Rather a lovely malty double beer. Nice. Satisfying.

Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light acidic, sour with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (280208)
