Jul 23, 2005 Draught at the brewpub. Deep reddish dark brown coloured. Loads of coffee, chocolate and roasted malt with notes of toffee. Very smooth and soft. Rather hoppy for a Schwarzbier. Dry and bitter finish. Perfectly balanced. Full bodied for a Schwarzbier.

Jul 31, 2005 Draught at the brewpub. Almost black. Aroma is dominated by strong coffee notes. Flavour is roasted and malty. Finish is quite hoppy, but also sweet with toffee notes. The complexity of all the ingredients makes this the greatest Schwarzbier in the world. This is a world class beer.

Jul 23, 2005 Draft @ the brewpub. Malæty sweetness in the nose, good roast. Dark borwn to almost black colored beer with a beautiful ruby tint, nice medium off-white head on top. Roast in the flavor, sweetness, coffe and chocolate notes. Very balanced and a nice full body. Best schwarzbier ive ever tried.

Jul 23, 2008 Bottle. Very dark brown with a medium sized off-white head. Nice roastedness with notes of malt, dark dried fruit, metal, grain and dark berries. Very well balanced.

Aug 27, 2005 A hazy red-brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of chocolate and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate and roasted malt, while the mouthfeel is slightly carbonated. A very nice schwarzbier.
