Silphium (2028), Lansing, Michigan, USA Aug 11, 2007 On tap at the restaurant/brewery. Orange-brown body, medium buff head. Sweet, caramely aroma with berries. Good caramely, sugared cereal (Cheerios) flavor profile, light, with earthy, slightly bitter hops balance. Toasty. Thins a bit after a few sips. Basic. CharlesDarwin (1412), State College, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 14, 2006 Copper orange pour, with a finger of foamy ivory head. Light toasted malt aroma. A clean, nice malty flavor, with a delicious edge of toasted caramel, oake and tannins. Nice balance as hops run through the finish. Strongly drinkable. Not particularly piquant or creative, but heavily drinkable and clean. Jabswitch (180), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jul 30, 2006 Pretty deep red in color. Lively carbonation. Nice sweetness and very tasty. Little aftertaste. I do like a little more bitterness but this was a very good glass of beer. obisbeer (554), Madrid, Spain Aug 30, 2004 Deep amber/cherry red with fine head. Sournes, with some nuttiness on the nose. Aggressive flavors, very full-bodied w/roasted nuts and coffee flavors. Nice big well made, very rich with a clean finish. I.C.suds (186), Da U.P. eh?, Michigan, USA May 18, 2004 Da best in da U.P eh? Clean and sweet with a hoppy bite. Nice tan head that lasts the entire glass. Burnt orange color. Very yummy even if you don’t know what a pastie is.
