Bottle: Courtesy of Styles. The aroma has lots of raisin, caramel, alcohol, and hints of chocolate and banana bread. The appearance is sort of a muddy reddish-brown with virtually no head. It’s almost still looking with only a few stray bubbles. The flavor starts with caramel, rasin, and a sweet fruitiness. The finish has notes of apple and minimal bitterness. The mouthfeel is flat and a tad thin.

Bottle (courtesy of JK). Melted caramel, pinetree and alcohol aroma. Cloudy dark brown with small head. Strong alcohol bite initially that quickly fades to a creamy caramel flavor. Strong hops finish. Very interesting brew - strong alcohol and extremely pleasant caramel flavor seem to stay separated.

Murky reddish brown, no head. Nicely sweet aroma, with notes of caramel, whiskey plus some vanilla, oak and perhps even a some wine. Very smooth, viscous mouthfeel. Really malty up front - caramel and molasses, then notes of piney, woodsy hops. Pretty good stuff. Thanks to JK for the trade.

Nice brown color, small head that faded quickly leaving little behind. The aroma was malty and sweet with some notes of caramel and faint fruit. The flavor was much better then i was expecting, malty roasty sort of taste with some hints of caramel maybe toffee and a sligth fruity side. The alcohol manages to make itself well known by being pronounced throughout the tasting.Finishes up fairly smooth and warm.Pretty decent brew, infact better then some of the other brews i’ve had from them lately and i think it would be well worth having a couple just to check out after it’s had a chance to grow a little more hair on it.

Bottle. Aroma was of yeasty bread, sweet malt and alcohol. Brown/red body with a horseradish mustard head. Flavor was alcohol up front. Near the middle this beer was creamy rich malted chocolate with some sweetness. Ended smooth on the palate. A real good beer brought back from Wisconsin.

12 oz bottle. Poured a deep ruddy brown with a short layer of light mocha head. Sweet, toasted molasses, plums, alcohol, pine, and grapefruit zest in the nose. The flavor was also extra-sweet... rockin’ an old ale feel... aged caramel and darker fruits, woodsy and herbal hops, and a moderate dose of alcohol. Not too heavily-bodied on the palate, but managed to be syrupy at points. Creamy middle. Decent brew.

Pour is hazy brown amber with a thin tan head...smell is sweet with molasses, alcohol, some soapy/pine notes...the flavor was a let down from the aroma...sweet and thin...yeast and corn...
