damn nice brew! never even heard of this brewer, then this comes along! bottle courtesy of bonk0076, thank you! pours black with a fairly sparse, creamy brown head. the aroma is pretty subdued, lots of lil hints in there though. the mouthfeel is awesome! ubercreminess throughout, never unpleasant. the taste is actually pretty light considering how bold it is, very chocolate milky. great offering, i am surprised this isn’t rated higher.

Another great stout from this small NE WI brewer, its one of their best. Purchased at Woodman’s in Madison and enjoyed in a plastic cup on Thanksgiving day. I’m not really noticing an aroma, but considering the circumstances I’m not surprised. Well balanced between malt and light hops, tasting a small prune aftertaste, I’m also tasting chocolate, coffee, and mint. Great beer!

12 oz bottle. Thanks to Erocks for hooking me up. Very dark black pour with a tan ring around the head. Aroma of chocolate, dark fruit, figs. Maybe a bit of a starbucks coffee drink. Flavor is chocolate and dark fruits. Medium bodied mouthfeel detracts a bit from the experience. Pretty well-balanced imp stout here.

bottle, pours thick black with a thin light brown head. Aroma is big and malty with black patent and chocolate. Wow, I feel like each sip is a pound of malt. Very smooth though with a slight soy sauce character, but it’s not bad.

12 oz. bottle - thanks bvc; pours jet black with huge foamy tan head; musky, sweet, oaty and creamy nose; some chocolate with a roasty dry finish; milky is a key word on this one

2009 Bottle - Thanks motortoddhead! - Pours a thin dk brown with a small beige head...aroma is roasty grain, milk chocolate and some dk tart cherries...flavour is similar, rich cocoa, roast, burnt wood, sour cherry, clean on the end with a lingering coffee char taste...cherry stout or just a side effect? Either way, very tasty!

Dark brown with ruby highlights and suspendiods plus a medium tan lacy topper. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, sweet malt, perhaps milk sugar, caramel and bready malt. Taste of roasted malt, chocolate, burnt grains, molasses and alcohol. A touch sour but overall just average at best.
