Purchased at Woodman’s in Madison and enjoyed in a plastic cup on Thanksgiving day. I’m not really noticing an aroma, but considering the circumstances I’m not surprised. Well balanced between malt and light hops, tasting a small prune aftertaste, I’m also tasting chocolate, coffee, and mint. Great beer! HonkeyBra (1388), Lemont, Illinois, USA

Very dark black pour with a tan ring around the head. Aroma of chocolate, dark fruit, figs. Maybe a bit of a starbucks coffee drink. Flavor is chocolate and dark fruits. Medium bodied mouthfeel detracts a bit from the experience. Pretty well-balanced imp stout here. fata2683 (932), Panama City, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 25, 2009 bottle, pours thick black with a thin light brown head. Aroma is big and malty with black patent and chocolate. Wow, I feel like each sip is a pound of malt. Very smooth though with a slight soy sauce character, but it’s not bad. daknole (3031), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA
