Bottle from Ughsmash. Very dark. Black with ruby outlines. Sizable brown head lasts awhile. Slightly sweet aroma. Oily scent, kind of like a foreign stout. Burnt maltiness with a bit of alcohol. Hops as well. Roasted malty flavors up front. Some dark fruit qualities. Finish is burnt and has a milky sugary thing going on. Well hidden alcohol.

Bottle. I think this came from footbalm. Pours dark brown with a tan head. smells of cherries, caramel, pepper, and some cocoa. Tastes of chocolate with some cherries. Mouthfeel is thick. Finished tangy and tarte.

Bottle. Pours dark black. No light getting through at all. Beige mocha head. Aroma of smoke, dark chocolate, molasses and a hint of earthiness. Fantastic flavors of chocolate, fig, toasted malts and a twinge of hop bitterness. Not as sweet as I expected, with a lingering sticky and lightly bitter finish. Great brew!

12 oz bottle from Ughsmash (Thanks for another great extra Jason!). I’m getting really spoilt with a recent batch of US stouts and porters - and this little Wisconsin gem is no exception. Pours ink black with dark brown tinge and fluffy deep tan head that sticks around and trails lacing down the glass. A full and complex aroma of smoke, chocolate, rich dark syrup and a splash of soy sauce. Also noted a faint suggestion of acetone. The flavour is very sweet, almost sugary, countered with over-ripe figs and chocolate. Thick and sticky mouthfeel and a pleasant ’back-of-the-tongue’ hop buzz.

12 ounce bottle from Ughsmash. Pours pitch black with a fairly fizzy brown head. Kind of a salty soy sauce aroma. Lots of flavor going on here. Bitter chocolate and roast. Licorice. Salty or mineraly. Oily mouth feel. Long bitter finish. Definitely different than most imperial stouts.

Pours an inky brown black with almost no head. Salted meat, caramel, chocolate, and roasted smokiness on the nose. Nice tart smokey chocolate, caramel and a hint of alcohol. A great beer for the style. Nice floral hoppiness on the finish carry the roasted sweet flavors through.

Bottle. Pours very dark brown with very little brown head. Aroma of roast, coffee, and chocolate. Taste is coffee, sweet chocolate,, molassas roasted peanuts, and alchohol is present. Nice mouthfeel. Would try again.
