Wow! And to think- I only thought Sweden was good for two things: blondes and meatballs. Well, add Imperial Stout to that list. A very dark, malty, and molasses taste are immediately noticeable. The finish is surprisingly crisp and fine; it doesn’t wear out its welcome. A nice treat. Thanks, robertsreality!

Black with a tan head and good lace. Grape juice in the nose with some chocolate and coconut. Odd. Bitter, alcohol filled flavors. Roast malts and chocolate with some yeast. Chalky palate that finishes bitter and fruity.

Very dark brown colour. The aroma is chocolatey. Flavour is chocolatey as well, but also slightly hot, with a hint of roasty acidity coming in late. Roast character is mild and unconvincing. Oh well, it seems popular enough - just not for me.

Amber, dark brown, heavy lacing & strong nose. The flavor is lightly sweet with creamy notes & a more robust finish than most.

Dark brown/black with small tan head. Aroma is heavily vinous with lots of plum and green grapes. Flavor is richly roasty and chocolatey with some plum notes. Hops kick in at the end for a slightly dry bitter finish. Nice balance.

Thanks to Probiere who brought this to add to the lineup in KP’s cellar at the Se Gathering! Big head that rises above a clear ruby tinged brew that doesn’t quite go to a complete blackout. Aroma is a bit weak. Sweet with a touch of sourness at the finish. Needs a little more intensity if it wants to run with the big boys.

Lots of molasses, alcohol, and chocolate…hot chocolate even. Deep brown-black. Very sweet and a bit cloying. Medium thick, stick texture, soft carbonation. The bottom line is: Standard and simple. Thanks Em!

Thick and sark with a thin tan head. Aroma is sweet and salty. Flavour is salty, chocolate malts, caramel and coffee with a bitter finish. Dry and bitter in the finish. A good imperial stout, not a great one.
