Ungstrup (11930), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 17, 2004 A pitch black beer with a disappearing tan head. Both the aroma is sweet with strong lovely notes of chocolate and coffee. A great Imperial Stout. Papsoe (11421), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 23, 2006 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear and very dark mahogany with a warm, reddish glow. A light brown head. Lightly sweet aroma of roasted malt. Solid and full body with plenty, rather sweet malt that has a vague, burned edge. Almost candy like with a distinct prune character. 191206 yespr (8540), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 6, 2008 12 fl oz bottle. Pours dense malty and overripe fruity aroma. Mild spiced too. Flavour is dense and dry caramel malty yet also fruity. Mild spiced and with a dense fruity finish. Light spiced. Oakes (7047), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Mar 10, 2005 Very dark brown colour. The aroma is chocolatey. Flavour is chocolatey as well, but also slightly hot, with a hint of roasty acidity coming in late. Roast character is mild and unconvincing. Oh well, it seems popular enough - just not for me. joergen (6951), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 10, 2008 Bottle, thanks to sk8viking for sharing.
