The aroma was sweet, fresh fruit, honey. Syrupy and smooth. The flavor was sweet, fruity. Decent but not anything I’d look for again.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 25, 2005 Transparent gold with no movement anywhere. Aroma is fresh (Wisconsin) honey, saffron and perfume. Sweetness prevails in flavor, but it’s subtle. Honeycomb likeness. Velvety with a lemon-lime sweet and sour relationship. Not cloying in any sense, but maintains a sweetness level bordering the after dinner drink category. Enjoyable. 11026 (1779), Alabama, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 20, 2005 Bottle from Styles. Pours a light amber color, very clear. Slight white head forms and remains as a ring around the edge. No lacing. Aroma is pleasant, bits of honey and fruit. Lighter bodied and pleasantly carbonated. Flavors run between honey, spices and fruit. Overall a pretty nice sparkling mead and damn affordable at $3 a bomber. Thanks Chris! Indy (87), Hopkins, Minnesota, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jul 2, 2005 Spicy, almost cask-like aroma. The small amount of head was gone before I set my glass down after pouring. Sweet honey flavor, creamy feel with decent effervesence. It’s basically mead crossed with an ale. Actually, this is what I wish mead was like. heykevin (1269), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | May 1, 2005 Brilliant pale golden, with the most amazingly quickly disappearing head I’ve ever seen. Bit of honey, cider in aroma. Some alcohol. Medium-light body. Rather sweet. Not very enjoyable. Ciderish dry, with honey sweet on top of it. I can’t even drink 6 ounces of this. | 0.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Apr 10, 2005 disliked this one immensly, pours a flat pale orange, tastes of corn silage and alcohol, very dry flavor, other than the abundance of alcohol this beer is useless. ick 1FastSTi (2580), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 10, 2005 Sampled at the 3rd Annual "Between the Bluffs" Beer and Cheese Festival in La Crosse, WI. Appearance: Piss yellow. Non-existent head. Aroma is sweet honey and white grape. Flavor is way sweeter than Mjød in my opinion. White grapes or raisins. Sweet red apple. Honey flavor. Palate is tangy, sweet, slight lingering. Medium carbonation. Not near as good as Viking’s Mjød. ChrisPants (317), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 28, 2005 Clear pour, turing light yellow as glass fills. Not even the tiniest hint of head. Aroma of alcohol and apricot preserves. Flavor is brightly fruity: apple, grape, pear, and a hint of vanilla bean somewhere near the end. Body is slick and light, finishing dry and without many bubbles. I agree with tomxcs that this points directly to a young white wine in body and flavor. It looks and smells like a cider, and finishes like a cross between cider and gueze, but the alcohol is tactile and brazenly present throughout the whole experience.
