Commercial Description:
A lighter version of Mjød. This one comes out like a dry white champagne with a honey background and is lightly hopped.

Brilliant perry-colored body, small effervescent head. Cidery, sharp aroma. Flavors of sharp, exotic fruit, late honey. Some unpleasant alcohol flavors, reminiscent of a too-young mead. It would be interesting, but probably not worth the cellar space, to lay this down a couple years. Oh well, a unique brew to try anyway.

Clear golden honey color. Sparkling, though low carbonation. Sweet honey aroma, Very flowery. Alcoholic sting in the nose. Slight hop flavor, apples, pears, grapes, potpourri. Tangy honey. Rather alcoholic. Reminiscent of a young, fruity white wine. Coating, drying from the alcohol. This must have quite a bit of alcohol in it. It is unpasteurized and I think that it would probably age rather well. I enjoyed it a lot and I’m going to buy a few more bottles and see how they hold up. I’ve never had a braggot before. Very interesting.

Bright, transparent pear color, thin head that disappears with a quickness. Aroma: sharp, then sweet, and continuing so, big honey, but mixed with topical fruit, banana, pineapple, pear, tangy and treacly...probably just right for a braggot, but I’m no expert, just a stranger to these waters, and a curious traveller. Taste? Syrupy, sleek, and slightly sickening...starts bad, then honey creeps in, thickly, fruit speaks up, apple and pear,...thin mouthfeel, light body, with a softly lingering fruity finish. Not unpleasant, but ...eh, I’m just not a mead/braggot fan, so I’ll have to rate on the side of caution. Though it isn’t my cuppa, it’s a groovy thing for those in the mood... my initial resistance was due, perhaps, to my infamiliarity with the style...wish I knew the ABV, for it feels on the strong side. the other honey ale I had from this brewery was more in the atrocious column, and I’m glad this is more palatable.

Gold Coloring. Plenty of Honey on the Nose and Tongue. Although, Pretty Easy To Drink for a Mead. Little Bit of Spice in the Background, but Very Low Key. Good Mead.

Pours a clear yellow color with fizzy carbonation visible. Very honey-ish aroma. The flavor is honey (I should hope so), but more subdued than I figured it would be. A little on the syrupy side and I noticed a fair amount of apple taste as well. Very nice; I believe I will be returning to this one. Can’t wait to try the Mjod.

This Mead is a light color of gold. There is a bit of carbonation to add to the appearance. The aroma is of sweet white wine. The flavor is sweet and wine like, but is is rather mellow compared to other Meads. The palate is nice and rich with a minor "fizz" to clean it up in the end. Overall, not bad for a Mead.

Thick looking golden color liquid with a small fading white head. Aromas of overripe pears and airplane glue (not that I ever sniffed airplane glue). Apple/pear flavors with a dry white wine acidity, yet thick and sweet overbearing overripe fruit/hard cider flavors. Light honey dryness along with a hint of hops late in the finish, but still too cloying and unbalanced. The wife stopped by and concurred with the aroma description. She refused to partake stating she had had her bad communion wine for the day.

smells exclusively like pears. very sweet, pear aftertaste. this tastes LIKE PEARS. i've never had anything that tastes as much as a pear, besides a pear itself. which tastes like a pear because it is a pear. light, fruity. not much to it, but tastes very natural.
