Clear amber body, thin white head. Sugary-sweet apple brandy aroma, maple syrup notes. Big, sweet flavor, similar to the aroma. Dark, stewed apples.

Bronze color with a modest light ecru head. LIght brown sugar, floral hops and fresh apple aromas. Flavors of sweet light caramels, very sticky bun like. A very light helles bock. Not quite a bock, to dark for a dort, to sweet for an alt. Sort of a mix of them all.

Pours a hazy golden amber color, very small off white head. Aroma is full of sour apple schnopps or a sour apple martini. Flavor is also sour apple, bread/yeast flavor as well. Alcohol and the apple was a not so enjoyable taste to me. Thanks to JpDipso for sharing this one.

Golden, semi-hazy in appearance. Smells of pine and apples. Taste reaffirms the apple suspicion, along with some bread-like characteristics. Somewhat like a watered down Manhattan. There’s some warming vanilla notes to it, and a honey-like smoothness. Carbonation is rather flat, but I relatively enjoyed this one. A unique bock. Thanks to JPDipso for this one.

Aroma: Brandy, Apple, Sweet, Turbinado sugar, very strong. Good carbonation, light maple syrup, white head, ok lacing. Flavor: Apple, sorghum, sweet malt. Palate: Sweet, slight stickiness. Had this at the Tosa tasting!

Tasted at the ’Tosa gathering and provided by JPDipso, 12 oz bottle: Deep golden hue with a thin fizzy head and good lace. The aroma has notes of candy caramel apples, honeycomb, floral hops, and faint peppery qualities. The taste starts fruity and malty with a touch of earthy and sublime spice upon the finish. A refreshing Bock but not a whole lot of depth. The feel is a bit syrupy and soft, drier than expected finish. Strangely different and overall a nice brew that became more enjoyable as I drank it. Worthy of a try.

12oz bottle. Thin white head... shiny copper body. Butter apple pie aroma. Sweet sugared apple and raisins in the taste. Sligtly thick and coating mouthfeel... a little sweet overall, but not bad.

Clear and caramel colored...not at all the look I’d expect from a Helles or Maibock, which are normally of the blonde persuasion...slim ring of creamy, aroma is soft, light, and appealing, starts mild, nutty and malty, opening up, getting bolder, pungent fruits, dark grapes, dates, prunes & apple. Rasiny. Unusual, to say the slightest. After that goofy nose, the flavor is underwhelming, thin, yet supple. Continuing many of those flavors, still a malty, just-so sweet kind of a bock. Still has a dry side, especially in the finish, not as syrupy sweet as I’d imagined I’d . Not a bad beer, really, just played havoc with my expectations at every turn. Still, the mouthfeel’s too wan and ill-equipped to match the promise of the nose...wish it had a bigger, maltier kick in it. Oh, well, other than that, it’s okay
