hellbilly (1492), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA Sep 6, 2009 hazy pale golden with a small bubbly head.
aromas of peaches, yeast, light lemon, a little spice and some graininess.
the flavor is pretty much the same... add in loads of floral notes, peaches, dried apricots and strawberries in the aftertaste.
medium bodied. the mouth feel is odd... kinda like artificial sugar.
this improved greatly as it warmed and actually surprised me! 5/3/5/3/14/3.0 noncaloric (601), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Jul 12, 2009 Pale clear straw gold, slightly effervescent. The thin white head is nonetheless an effective glass-lacer. Grain aroma, honey-floral with elements of cooked corn. Flavor is sweet like a light fruit syrup, bits of apple at the front, grain husk at the back. Very light floral hop presence. Medium body, tending toward the flat and syrupy. JPDIPSO (4862), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Jul 9, 2009 Lightly hazed, light straw colored liquid.Moderate, but stable, off-white head. Hints of pale malt, herbal hops and apple skin aromas. Pale malt, light caramel and a bit of fruit, peaches, in the flavors. Finish and linger continue with the light fruit syrup theme. Too much fruit character for this to be a light and refreshing brew for me. JK (2944), Richfield, Minnesota, USA Apr 19, 2009 Light overall. Clear gold color. Some corn. Fairly drinkable, but not much here to enjoy. Simple lager, nothing offense and no perceivable flaws. IlanMan (816), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA Jan 30, 2009 Poured a medium golden with a white head. Had a medium body. Light sweet malt with a lightly sour yeasty finish. Low hop character. Smooth brew. Nothing too special. badgerben (3584), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Jan 30, 2009 MN Ratebeer Winter Gathering, January 10, 2009. Gold color with no head. Aroma of corn and marshmallows. Definitely a corny beer. Light hop finish. A bit watery. Inoffensive at least. KAF (441), Coralville, Iowa, USA Jan 15, 2009 Thanks to badgerben. Clear golden pour with a small white head. Aroma is solid ground corn. The flavor is much the same in ground corn. Skyview (4003), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jan 12, 2009 Sampled during MN Gathering II and shared by Badgerben. Pours a clear slightly dark golden brew with a thin white head that slowly dissipates to a thin white ring. Aroma of mostly corn grits, some golden grain malt, a touch of citrus and some sugar. Taste is medium bodied, a tad sweet with flavors a corn grits multi-grain malt, some flowery hops and a touch of yeast. Finish is semi-sweet with a denser bodied compared to other light golden and pale lagers. For beer drinkers who like pale lagers with a touch of sweet corn, it’s not too bad.
