Light amber color only a few bubbles on the edge. Honey and light melon aromas are joined by lemon cleaners and wild herbs. Honey and tart apples dominate the flavors. A spicy/tangy presence that lasts long into the linger. Other fruit join in the flavors with ripe melon, peaches and plums. A very fruit version.

Thanks badgerben. Pours a light copper color, huge head of foam, really insanely big filling 3/4 of my snifter, dying down pretty quickly then lasting leaving lacing. Fruity aroma, and the flavor stays the same, melon, tangerine, very citrusy fruits the whole time, with an alcohol sweetness bite.

Shared by StewardofGondor at the 3/25/06 Milwaukee tasting: Pours a clear copper bronze with a thin ring of white head. Sweet floral honeydew melon and tangerine aroma has some soft mild caramel maltiness and clover honey. Starts with sweet sugary fruity honey character with a thinner semi-tart tangering finish. Not very true to style, but has an interesting fruit character.

Thanks to StewardOfGondor for sharing this. Pours a clear medium amber color. No head. Aroma is lighter honey. Flavor is light , carbonated honey. Not too sweet, somewhat uninteresting. Went after Mendovina Sweet Melissa, hard to go after something like that.

Aromas of honey, apricot, fruity strawberries...sweet smelling with noticeable alcohol...flowery and interesting. Golden orange in color. Very drinkable, sweet honey flavors, again flowery. Thanks to StewardofGondor for sharing!

Bottled. Poured an oily, medium caramel with a short, well-retained beige head. Nose was of sweet sliced apples & pears and honey, with herbal and mildly-spicy overtones. Apples, pears, and the honey found the flavor, too.. a tad tacky at the backend. Light-bodied with almost grainy fruits at the finish... along with more vibrant alcohol. Decent.

Translucent and glowing bronze in color with a few bubbles residing randomly in its body. Honey nectar in the aroma’s a given, so let’s dwell on the Murphy’s oil soap mixed with water, a touch of clover and other herbaceous oddities (gardenias, crab grass, etc.) Sweet liquid honey flavor is not very forceful and seems mostly glossed over. Gentle liquid stream sparges the honeycomb. It’s like dropping an ice cube into a honey-water mixture. Honeycomb chex intermingles with sweet corn juice in the finish. A valiant attempt.

Copper body beneath a brief beige foam. The aroma is honey, Granny Smiths, grapes, white wine. On the thin side but smooth. The flavor is sweet and fruity. Not the best mead I’ve had but a decent drink.
