Not a flavorful as Viking’s other bracket, Honey Moon, but more drinkable/mellow. Pours a darkish amber, with only a few bubbles for a head. Very low carbonation. Aroma of apples, fusel alcohols, honey, and a little malt. Sweet & alcoholic. Reminiscent of a sweet white wine with apples. jewedekind (450), Middleton, Wisconsin, USA

Aromatic and fruity with spiy notes like chutney. Flavors of apple, figs and pears. Slightly sweet, but fleeting due to alcohol (?). Judging from others, I think this has to consumed from the tap..or after a hundred other beers? Gurst (338), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 11, 2005 Looks like maple syrup, smells just as sweet. The flavor is honey and vanilla all the way through, with a note of sugar cookie and alcohol at the end. Body is thin and sticky. The aftertaste is almost mentholic. jeffc666 (1892), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Jun 26, 2005 I guess this was supposed to be a braggot. Regardless of what is was supposed to be, it was not very good. The aroma and flavor were almost 100% honey. Bubblegummy sweetness also lends a hand, making it cloying. But strangely the palate is very dry and thin. My first highly attenuated cloying beverage. MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jun 26, 2005 Mead? This isn’t a mead. It’s like a mead-like substance that the brewer got bored with so he dumped in a crappy blond ale or something. Smells like honey, tastes like honey and a bit toasty at the end. Both cloying and thin, quite an accomplishment. awaller05 (301), Sharon, Wisconsin, USA

Thats all I could think of as I tried to finish this one, Yucch just terrible, water with a roast taste and honey finish. JCapriotti (1378), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 15, 2005 Dull darkish amber body (honey colored). No head. Stale honey-covered wheaties aroma. Not much there. Wheaty chardonnay and honey flavor. The chardonnay adds a slightly bitter component, but the bitterness is barely there... just enough to keep it real. I’m noticing a slight fruity quality as well. Body is a bit watery... slightly fizzy. Good balance. Dry honeycomb finish. Pretty good overall, though I’m no mead expert. Nice easy drink. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | May 13, 2005 appearance is a brown amber color w/ little to no head. Smell is very sweet like a sweet cider molasis alcohol apples hints of honey. palate if pretty thin not much there really. Flavor is really sweet of honey and apples and plums an oddly sweet yet light taste no real hops in it a touch of maybe nutmeg or cinammon in the finish. Overall not to bad but nothing really special. Thanks to Dave for this one
