Dark brown with ruby red highlights and next to no head. Aroma of toasted malt, light dark fruit, mild chocolate and perhaps a bit of tobacco. Boy is that thin and lightly carbonated. Taste of roasted malt, mild chocolate, not much else. Pretty bland.

Pours dark brown with minimal head. Sweet malt aroma with roasted malts and caramel on the finish.

Bottle shared with Blankboy and Hogtown Harry, courtesy of Harry. Very dark brown, small white head. Malty aroma, sweet, nice. Good taste - some roast, lots of malt, seems right on style to me. Medium body. Not bad.

Bottle (12oz) shared with HogTownHarry & tupalev -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a very deep ruby with an average size diminishing creamy off-white head. Mild aroma of light smoke, caramel malt and some chocolate. Somewhat watery flavour of lightly roasted malt, grain and notes of chocolate. Dry, slightly astringent finish. Light to average bodied. Just O.K.

Inconspicious beige head over hazy dark brown beer with red highlights. Sweet bready nose, and lots of milk- and dark chocolate. Then freshly made coffee, former aromas proving very volatile. Soft sweet, chocolatey flavour. Sweetish malts, colourmalts giving a very low-key bitterness. Warming up, a certain spicy flavour appears, alas under recognition treshold. Light to medium bodied, lots of grist slickness. Sweet. Not uninteresting, but still too sweet for my preferences, too worts- or tablebeer-like. Thanks, DA!

Pours a dark chocolate/espresso brown with tan head. Aroma is largely nutty and malts. Flavor is a bit bitter with malts and herbal tea. Body is light, which considering the appearance, is surprising. Fair amount of carbonation. The wateryness matched with the bitter watered down malts is just disappointing.

Bottle (12oz). Shared with blankboy and tupalev, via trade with Oakbluff. Hazy deep ruby pour, two-finger creamy lasting beige head. Medium roast aroma, grainy and lightly herbal/dry, light coffee. The taste is pretty .... bland - hardly any roast or coffee, sort of weedy and dead. Light body, mildly astringent, no carbonation to speak of, light dry grassy aftertaste .... a schwarz? Really????

Light grassy aroma. Dark brownish black color. Bitter vegetable flavors. Tastes like Fat Tire.
