Thanks to buckybeer for the bottle. Pours dark brown, some light gets through the glass. Small head. Aroma of dark malts, grassy hops and caramel. Taste was roasted grains and bitter hops. Medium to light bodied.

Pours dark brown with a small quickly fading head. Aroma is sort of a creamy / buttery malt along with mild sweet fruit. Flavor is quite bland. Light roast, nuts, sourish malts. Mouthfeel is thin. Not bad but nothing great.

LIght chestnut color with a modest light tan head. Darker toasted malts mix with mild dark fruit and some herbal hops. Somewhat earthy in scent. Light roasted flavors with mild wild flower honey and caramel. Finish has some dry roast flavors with some earth and wood. A touch metalic in the linger. Seems more like a dark amber.

Beer #200 for me. Picked a bottle from Blue Max in Burnsville, MN. Pours a cola caramel color brew with a tan head. Aroma of light caramel, tasted grain, some cherry and sweet lactose. Flavor is like milk chocolate with some spiced coffee aftertaste. A little bit on the watery finish but pretty clean cut and crisp.

12oz bottle- A dark brown almost black body with a tan head that dissipates fairly quickly. Aroma of roasted malt and some chocolate. Taste of caramel, roasted malt, coffee, and finishes with a slight bitterness. Not a fn of Schwarz beers but not bad.

Deep brown color, very nearly black, topped by a quarter inch of smooth creamy tan foam. Short lived head retention and light lacing. A sweet chocolate malt in the aroma is very nice. The flavor has ample roasted grain, dry chocolate, and some coffee. A touch of hops shows up in the finish, with a mild coffee chocolate blend in the aftertaste. Not quite medium bodied and very lightly carbonated, but drinkable enough. In my opinion, a swarzbier should not be an overly bitter or roasty brew, and likewise it should not be timid or wimpy. Mørketid is plenty robust without being too powerful.

Pitch black color with a thin head. Carmelly, sweet malt aroma with a bit of butter. The taste is pretty weak malt with a definite bitterness on the end. Some hops, but it really seems to be malt-flavored water. Blah.
