Pours a two finger light brown head that fades to a thin layer leaving a good lace. Black color. Light carbonation and medium-heavy bodied. Sour lactose nose. Starts almost sweet like a mild coffee then a sour/bitterness of unsweetened chocolate. $1.59 for a 12oz bottle from Blue Max Liquor Burnsville, Mn.

Nice dark brown color, small tan head that had a decent hang time then faded to leave a bit of a lace behind. The aroma was light with a mild malty side some chocolate and roast with maybe a hint of smoke in there but hard to say.The flavor was pleasant but a little bit thin.Malty taste with a mild roasty dark side, thin feel with a slight hop showing but very faint.Over all it’s not bad but it could use a bit more tweaking to become really great.

Pours a nearly opaque dark brown with a thin, frothy and nicely-lacing tan head. Aroma has some graininess to it and decent German lager yeast profile. Body starts very thin, even for the style with some subtle maltiness, but not much sweetness, toward a slightly drier earthy roasted finish. Bland and needs a little more body and sweetness.

Brown-black color with a thin hint of gray; moderate carbonation. Extremely mild aroma, dusty, lightly buttery, suggestion of vanilla. Flavor has a strongly corn syrup (thin molasses) note, with only a faint hint of maltiness. Late bitterness, partially metallic. Adequate carbonation and palate. Not particularly "easy-drinking".

Bottle thanks to milkmandan: Pours to a dark redish brown body, mostly clear, with a light eggshell colored head. The aroma is soy sauce, corn syrup, fruity yeast, clover honey, sweet and sour sauce - strange. Taste is corn sugar, fruity soy, light roasted malt, and more sweet & sour sauce. I’d say diacetyl, but this seems to have a different taste that I just can’t place. Thin body, mild carbonation.

Bottle... Clear, ruby lager with a small, fizzy, khaki head. Decent retention. Buttery, malty nose with caramel, cocoa and cinnamon. Lots of diacetyl. Tart, tangy flavor with good balance. Mostly bland, but tangy enough to hold my interest. Light-bodied and almost imperceptibly oily with gentle carbonation. Milldy pungent finish. Maybe infected, but not at all unpleasant. Kudos to MilkmanDan for sharing his bottle!

Provided by MilkmanDan. Dark brown body with a small off-white head, fading. The aroma is soy sauce, smoke and molases. Flavor is slightly tart, with some brown sugar and a touch of sweet smoke. Thin body with low carbonation.

(12oz bottle) Medium beige head atop a clear dark brown-red body. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, some cherry, light roast. Taste is medium sweet, sour cherry, chocolate, light caramel. Undercarbonated, watery light-medium body, some stickiness.
