12oz bottle acquired in trade with robertsreality (thanks!). Poured a medium and hazy (hazier as I got to the bottom of the bottle) amber with a very small sized off white head. Leafy aromas with caramel, tea and wet leaves. Tastes were harder to pick out - tea, caramel and citrus. Lighter tastes and bordering on watery. Thinner body. Definitely not your typical USA IPA.

Pours a dark golden with a thick white head and a steady stream of bubbles floating up from the bottom. English hoppy aroma with some hints of aromatic malts. Body is semi-sweet, earthy, with some adjunct flavor, floral candy hoppiness and a tart finish. It doesn't quite mesh together with the right balance, but it's still a drinkable IPA.

Lightly hazed light copper color. Color the same as the last IPA I had. Moderate dark cream colored head. Some decent lace. Mild barnyard and herb aroma. Lilac and perfume flavors start the mix. Some mild licorice and lilac flavor along with some baby powder seems to seep in. A nutty brown ale type finish and along with a dry nut finish. Some what fizzy, with a light oil feel. Mild burn on the tongue in the finish. a Light burnt flavor in the linger. A lot going on, but nothing all that pleasing.

Thanks to Robert’s Reality for this. 12 ounce bottle. The pour is hazy copper with a huge head. I had no problem with flatness on this one. Aroma of hopcit, malt, some fruit. The taste was hoppy, with some mid-palate floral fruitiness and finishing citrus. Lively, medium to light palate.

12 oz bottle, from Blue Max in Burnsville, MN (Dec 2005). Almost no head on this one, a still, rather syrupy-looking dark amber brew....faint sprucy hops in a caramel cloud inhabit the simple aroma, though a bit of orange marmalade creeps in for some interest....body is cloyingly sweet, Dr. Pepper-like in its odd dishwater-licorice-citrusy character, hops seem old and broken, too tired to help balance out the sugariness, and they receive no help in the form of carbonation either....flat and listless as an unstoned stoner....I won’t be finishing this.

From a 12 oz. bottle purchased in Madison, WI. The body is dark orange with a slightly off white head on top. The aroma is decently hoppy with a little bit of oranges and some toffee. The taste has iced tea, orange peels and some light bread crust. There is also a little bit of pineapple. A pretty mild IPA. Nothing stands out in this one.

12oz version. Poured a clear golden color with a brown tint and large off-white head. Moderate amount of hops in the aroma. Some fruity sweetness and caramel maltiness. Notes of paper. Flavor was lightly fruity almost a sour pineapple taste. Thin body.
