Commercial Description:
Relatively high hopping rates with only Saaz hops, very soft water and Czech yeast round out this beer.

Soft diacetyl aroma, touch of spicy hops. Light to medium bodied, grassy. Some appley notes as well (acetaldehyde) comes together for a relatively decent hop-accented finish, but a bit to riddled with flaws to really enjoy.

Having had their Big Swede, I was expecting more. This deep amber brew with off-white head held little in the aroma area. Very faint sweet and fruity nose. Felt thin and watery on the palate. The flavor was watered down. Nondescript.

Kidney-infection cloudy pour. Smells and tastes sour, with chalky orange rind palate. Soapy finish, blah de blah.

Bottle. Dark urine yellow with no head. Very sweet nose with some notes of candied bananas. Taste-much more sour than the nose. Dirty palate with a dry green apple taste.

Large form carbonation on a very clear yellow-to-light-amber spectrum body. Sweet, candy aroma, a notch over malt liquor of course, but also containing that awful green apple flavor, though less sever than in the Abby Normal. No bitterness in the finish, but that apple...damn....there are some things to like here, but it is also problematic.

Had this one a few days ago, and I couldn’t tell you a thing about it, And I have a gift for remembering my beer experiences. I can’t remember my anniversary to save my life, but I can remember where, when and what I thought about any beer I have had. This one though, not memorable enough said I’ve yet to really be blown away by this brewer. a tad dissapointing

Aroma is so pleasant, like fruit gum! Color is ok but (speaking of gas) one can actually count the bubbles rising through the cloudiness.... Taste is a mix of honey, hops and cantaloupe with nice hoppy backbite. This beer has a very syrupy feel that seems to give a coating going down - don’t know if that’s good or bad, but taken in conjunction with its cloudy appearance I would say this beer is too flat. If they fix the body Sylvan Springs is well into the 4's in my book.
