Aroma is mild, medium sweet, cereal, some orange. Taste is medium sweet, orange, some herbal. Light-medium body, some duskiness. Seems a bit low in bitterness for the style. Fairly thick and chewy. Flavors of light malt and again light tart apples. Seem a bit more like a helles lager than a czech pils. Fairly solid but nothing special. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA

Nose of light malt and grassy hops, vegetal. The flavor is hoppy, nice citrusy floral malts but thin and musty. Eh. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 19, 2006 12 oz bottle, from Blue Max in Burnsville, MN (Dec 2005). Served 5 minutes out of the fridge, in a Christoffel glass. Thick, luscious lasting head atop a light amber, bubbly body that is a touch oily but quite lustrous....hmmm, alas this sample comes off rather skunky and reminiscent of green-bottle Heineken in the nose (this is brown-bottled but there is no date)...digging a little deeper and letting it breath a bit, there is some grassy hoppiness and a bit of cooked malt coming through, but not enough to save it....body is much cleaner and fresher tasting, though a touch of metal at the finish doesn’t help....lightly hoppy, grassy character, a touch of thyme or oregano bitterness, a twinge of honey sweetness...the body is reasonably crisp, dries out towards the end, carbonation a bit low for a pils....all in all, a really fresh bottle or tap sample would be needed to convince me that this might be worth drinking. This bottle wasn’t. heemer77 (4312), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 5, 2005 From a bomber. Body pours a dark gold with some thin head remaining on top. The aroma is cooked green apples and cooked carrots. This is a surprisingly delicate and delightful nose. The taste is full and bready with notes of celery. I can just barely detect the green apple that others noted, but it only makes this beer more interesting. There is that typical spice at the end of each drink. This is fairly well done. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 5, 2007 Picked up a four-pack at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in Roseville, MN. Pours a semi-hazy orange amber brew with a thick, lumpy white head that has good retention and lacing. Aroma of multi-grain malt, orange zest, and something reminding me of Tang Orange powder. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated with a citrusy orange flavor that hides the multi-grain malt. Finish is slightly acidic, mild bitterness with an orange peel aftertaste. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 20, 2005 12 oz bottle. Medium-golden pour with a light layer of white head. Some lacing. Big dose of floral hoppage and pale malts formed a soft and pleasant nose. Aromas carried through to the flavor, and added some citrus fruit and apples at the finish. Little bready yeast in there. Smooth on the palate, and went down quite easily. Well done, but not exceptional on any front. badgerben (3610), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 8, 2004 Light amber color with minimal head. Aroma seemed to have a hint of sweet honey. Taste was malty, but for some reason I kept tasting honey. This didn’t seem like a Bohemian to me, but it’s not too shabby.
