Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing light tan head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with fruity notes. The flavor is sweet combined with an acidity and primary notes of over ripe fruits.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Hazy, amber golden with a small, off-white head. Fresh, lightly citrusy nose. Medium body with citrusy accents and a very distinct sourness in the finish. This clearly must be infected. From the rating averages stats they really seem to have a problem with this beer. Did they release a full batch that was off? 180907

12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with a lacing white head. Malty aroma, slight spiced. Flavour is acidic and bitter. Infected :(

Cloudy light amber color. Strange feelings in the aroma, but not bad: sweet, malty, with vanilla/chocolate touch. Some sweetness, thin mouthfeel, but it’s not worth digging here: it’s infected.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with Brigadier (thanks!). Poured a medium and cloudy amber color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, grass, nutty, and I’m getting a light maple syrup. Thinner tastes of citrus, caramel, lightly fruity and earthy. There was something about this one I just couldn’t put my finger on.

Bottle… Cloudy amber lager with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. Breadsy, toasted malt aroma with a trace of toffee. My bottle is definitely infected and the flavor is where the bug comes into play. Well-balanced between sweet and bitter, but a tad pungent; otherwise, very bland. Light to medium-bodied and very astringent with modest carbonation. Crisp, too tangy, very dry finish.

Slightly hazy orange amber color with minimal head. Light lemon citric aroma with just a touch of brown sugar. Flavor is dry and lacks the light toasted sweetness for this style. Slight apple flavors. Only minor faults compared to ’Copperhead’. Some fruitness that distracts also. Not a bad session brew. But not a lot to come back to.

12 oz bottle, from Blue Max in Burnsville, MN (Dec 2005). Sampled at cellar temperature from an Allagash glass. Murky, dirty orangy-amber with a lasting dollop of fine cream...faint herbal aromas emanate from the glass and light caramel malts....on the tongue a rather neutral smoky-toasty maltiness, moderately dry and just ever-so-slightly bitter with a hint of spicy herbal edge....clean and smooth with a touch of lactose and white wine, low- to moderate carbonation and a rather light body....an easy, simple quaffer with no real problems, but nothing standing out either.
