Pours very dark and cloudy with a tight tan head. Chocolate roast coffee aroma with some mint and licorice. Medium bodied. The coffee flavor comes through well. Not bad.

22oz. Bomber, courtesy of the Great DUANE! Poured dark with a small very dark brown head. Aroma is typical of porters, coffee and roasted malts. Flavor is very much coffee, and there is a bit of bitterness in here. This was an excellent porter. As it warmed, there was more complexity and less carbonation. There was a ton of milky creaminess.

22 oz. bomber. pour is a dark brown with a quickly fading tan head. aromas & flavors of coffee bean and a mild bittersweet chocolate. a nice balance to the flavors but the body is quite thin. a great tasting porter that goes nicely with a piece of chocolate.

Main beer man, Phil, provided this. Almost opaque black body under a mocha frothy head that left a trail of lacing along the thistle glass. Aroma of chocolate malt and coffee, sweet and enticing. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel, if a but thin. The flavor was milky, chocolatey, coffee malt. Very tastey and appealing. Want more of this.

Blue Max Liquors, Burnsville, Mn - 12 oz bottle. Pours a opaque black as tar with a frthy mocha colored head. Chocolatey aroma wiht some strong essence of roasted marshmallow. Flavor has some licorice notes, some bittersweet chocolate, cotton candy sweetness. Good, thick lacticity. Thick, chewy mouthfeel. Very good porter - will keep my eye out for this brewer - they need to improve the look of their labels though - very cheap looking.

Bottle from Styles. Deep brown color with a minimal head. Plenty of coffee in aroma, a bit estery, some licorice? Lighter to medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel, low carbonation helps mouthfeel. Roasted grain and coffee in flavor with just enough bitterness from hops to balance nicely. Solid porter.

2004? Bottle from Robertsreality, thanks! Shared with OldGrowth on 5/28/2005. Opaque brown-black (light tested), no lacing. Light tan head recedes to ring quickly and fizzles away. Smells of oats, maybe lactose, cream, milk chocolate. Flavor is smooth oats, light milkiness on the end. Bit of dusty dryness, light wateriness. Some roasted malt bitterness on the end. Medium body. Very low carbonation.
