Commercial Description:
Breakfast Beer. Oatmeal milk porter that has a decidedly coffee flavor to it (although we don't use coffee in it). Yesiree, all the best parts of breakfast, right in your glass.

Very dark brown/near black pour. Thin, light brown head fades instantly and nearly fully. Being dark is not an instant saving grace. The aroma is softly, pleasantly roasty. Notes of chocolate are light, coffee is medium. Nuts prevail and lead the roast out of the glass. The flavor is relatively balanced. Light sweetness and moderate roast mingle cohesively. Coffee is king here, but it’s not overwhelming. Light smoke notes, as well as caraway. Finishes lightly chocolatey, fading quickly. Mouthfeel is average at best, light-medium to medium in body.

Bottle… Pours thick and dark, like dirty motor oil. Sits black in the glass with a small, creamy, lightly tanned head. Heaps of milk chocolate in the nose with lots of French roast coffee… smells like a chocolate covered espresso bean. The flavor is much the same, sans any of the sweetness. Well-balance with singed notes. Medium-bodied and surprisingly thin for something that poured so thick. Lightly creamy with prickly carbonation. Burnt, bone-dry finish.

Not as coffey-ey as i would like but very smooth. Probably would be quite tasty in the morning. I got a lot of milky taste to it. Pretty creamy. Not quite as thick as i like them but very good stuff from viking for sure.

(12oz bottle) Small creamy brown head atop brown-black body. Aroma is moderately sweet, coffee, milk chocolate, some roast, light oatmeal. Taste is medium sweet, chocolate, some coffee/roast. Creamy albeit watery medium body.

Lactic aroma is not welcoming. Thin brown pour with no head - could be a flat one. I have had coffee flavored beers, but this is wrong. Too much coffee and sight powdered cocoa. Very astringent, could be infected.

Nice black color with faint lacing. Almost a milk like aroma mixed in with the coffee flavor. Crisp coffee body.
