Thomas_E (5037), Copenhagen, Denmark May 5, 2008 Light hazy reddish colour with a beige head. Malty, fruity and quite spicy aroma. Light roasted malty flavor with notes of fruit and cardemomme. Jukkabro (2369), Tampere, Finland Apr 22, 2008 Dark red colored with little yellow head. Cardamom dominates the aroma with slight sweet berries, some burned tone and thin alcohol. Medium bodied. Flavor starts with caramel, turns fastly to cardamom spiced and ginger with some red currant and sourness. Aftertaste dries strongly with mild alcohol and spices still. Weird one. Maria (3975), Thisted, Denmark Feb 1, 2008 The 2006 version wasn’t very "Christmassy", but the brewer has taken revenge, and both aroma and flavour makes me think of brunkager (Danish Christmas pepper cookies). The color is dark reddish-brown with a nice and creamy head. As mentioned the aroma makes me think of brunkager, and the most dominant spices are cardamom and cinnamon. The flavour has the same notes, but also sweetness, roasted malt, a bit of fruit and the finish is slightly spicy bitter and rather dry. Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 13, 2008 (Bottle 50 cl) Very hazy, orangey brown with an off-white head. Very spicy nose - cardamom. Quite full in body with some roasted malt and again these very distinct accents of cardamom and cinnamon. Fairly bitter finish. 281207
