| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 20, 2004 Draft at Fest: Deep brown hue with reddish highlights. Frothy off-white head and no lace. This had a weak nose with hints of toasted and crystal malts, boysenberry, coffee, earthy yeast esters, and grassy hops. The taste was bittersweet mocha with coffee and smoky undertones. Not much depth and had an mineral off-taste. The feel was metallic and fizzy. Less than average, not imperial tasting. My first Arkansas beer and maybe my last. goldtwins (4083), Nesconset, New York, USA

Coffee, alcohol, esters, and sweet doughy notes make up the aroma. The flavor was sweet and roasty with some dry cocoa. Smooth mouthfeel and a medium body. Light alcohol on the finish.
