(4/12/06) Much better than the last time they brewed this. Most definitely better. Very full, heavy, and soft mouthfeel. Lots of chocolate, dark roast malt. Fairly sweet and no bitterness. One of the better beers I’ve had in a while. (4/23/05...scored 2.7...4,4,5,3,11) I went to Vino’s to have a few drinks before I saw Old Crow Medicine Show in concert in downtown Little Rock and I wasn’t disappointed with the brews at all. I couldn’t sense much aroma on this at the time. Flavor was coffee/chocolate malt and a decent amount of bitterness that lasted through the finish. Tasted kind of dry.

This stout is a treat, it pours a dark thick brownish black with a thin tan head. It has a velvety mouth feel, slightly sweet, hint of fig, with a strong coffee/dark chocolate taste. I rarely drink two of the same beers at a place that offers this kind of variety, but that is just what I did here. There was no after-burn. I loved it.

GABF 2008. Black oily pour. Heavy dense mouthfeel with pipe tobacco, chocolate, coffee, cedar, prunes, and a long bitter finish. Excellent.

i got to have a small glass of this in the brewery. Very big and powerful yet only 8 percent. The chocolate and coffee are huge. Very good stout. Vino’s is still the only thing about arkansas that doesnt suck.

an excellent imperial stout. a very very thick dark brown stout with thick dark tan head. the aroma is nutty and rich with some heavy chocolate malt, some heavy hops and lots of coffee. this is not your average impy stout, it resembles a bigger idea in the brewing world and reminds me of some cali stouts. quite good and worth a visit to little rock.

GABF 2006. Pours to a murky chocolate brown body with a brown head. The aroma is sweet milk chocolate chips and deep malts. The flavor is a charred roasty chocolate, grassy hops. The palate is really roasty and charred. Quite good IMO.

GABF 2007: Poured a black color with a small tan head. Coffee, alcohol, esters, and sweet doughy notes make up the aroma. The flavor was sweet and roasty with some dry cocoa. Smooth mouthfeel and a medium body. Light alcohol on the finish.
