On tap at the brew pub. Pours dark brown. Has a slight creamy head that is beige in color. As with most of the beers here, there is no aroma. Flavor produces a roasted coffee taste that is both mellow and hearty - I figure this means it is well balanced.

Sampled on draft at Vinos. Pours opaque blackened-brown in color. Clean, light coffee aroma with a rich, roasted malt flavor. Quite balanced. A bit one-dimensional, but still enjoyable and easy to drink.

Draught. Pours opaque with a medium creamy tan head and lined, spotty lacing. Aroma is paper, chalky dark roasted chocolate malt and cocoa with leathery yeast and coffee notes. Medium bitterness, dark roasted chocolate malt and coffee, cardboard slightly sour yeast flavor, caramel malt and low sweetness. Dark bodied, oily and thin palate.

(draught) Deep black color, but tan head faded very quickly. Faint roast malt aromas. Flavor is roast coffee with hints of licorice and dark chocolate. Body is a bit thin. Unfortunately it had a faint taste of vinegar in the finish that took away from the overall beer.

Black with nice, creamy, dark beige head. Not much aroma, some roasty characters. A rather watery taste, decently roasted but with a lot of bitterness from the dark malts. Some nut flavor. No noticable hops.

Poured black with a nice light brown head. Good bit of aroma. Flavor was mostly of coffee...a little chocolate. Good amount of coffee bitterness. Overall, not bad, but I’ve had better stouts. Medium body with a little creamy mouthfeel.
